Position Overview:

As a Sales Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for nurturing and maintaining relationships with key clients to foster long-term partnerships. You will leverage your strong interpersonal skills and industry knowledge to understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions that drive mutual success. This role requires proactive engagement, strategic thinking, and a deep commitment to customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Act as the main point of contact and build trust through regular communication.
  • Understand client businesses, goals, and challenges to propose relevant solutions.
  • Develop account plans and strategies to achieve sales targets and expand client base.
  • Conduct regular business reviews to ensure client expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Own the renewal process from start to finish, ensuring timely and successful renewals of client contracts.
  • Develop and execute renewal strategies tailored to each client’s situation and goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., sales, customer success, product) to leverage insights and resources that enhance client retention.
  • Negotiate contract terms and pricing to maximize renewal rates while maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Prepare renewal proposals and presentations, outlining the value and benefits of our solutions.
  • Ensure all renewal documentation is accurate and compliant with company policies and legal standards.
  • Advocate for clients internally to ensure their needs are met across departments.
  • Address any issues or concerns promptly and effectively to maintain client satisfaction.
  • Serve as a proactive problem solver and escalate issues as needed.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of products/services to effectively address client inquiries.
  • Provide feedback to the product development team based on client interactions and market demands.
  • Track and report on sales performance metrics, revenue forecasts, and client satisfaction levels.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare presentations and reports for senior management as required.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in sales or account management, with a track record of achieving targets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.
  • Ability to analyze data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to addressing issues.
  • Familiarity with [industry-specific knowledge] (e.g., technology, finance, healthcare) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings (if applicable).
