Role Overview:


The Relationship Manager - Mortgage Acquisition (across Channels) is responsible for driving the acquisition of new mortgage business through various channels, including direct sales, partnerships, and strategic alliances. This role encompasses the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to closing deals and managing client relationships.


Key Responsibilities:


Sales and Business Development:

  • Source new business opportunities for retail and commercial mortgages through direct sales efforts, lead generation, and strategic partnerships.

  • Identify and pursue key business prospects, conducting market research and developing targeted sales strategies.

  • Engage in direct sales activities, presenting mortgage products, and closing deals with prospective clients.

  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering repeat business.


Channel Management and Partnerships:


  • Collaborate with various channel partners, such as real estate agents, mortgage brokers, and financial advisors, to expand the mortgage product reach.

  • Train and support channel partners on mortgage products, policies, and procedures, ensuring a seamless customer experience.

  • Identify and establish strategic partnerships with relevant industry players to drive referrals and cross-selling opportunities.


Portfolio Management and Customer Service:

  • Manage a portfolio of mortgage clients, ensuring excellent service delivery and adherence to turnaround times and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

  • Oversee the mortgage application process, coordinating with internal teams for credit evaluation, documentation, and closing.

  • Provide feedback to product managers on process improvements and service-related issues to enhance customer experiences.

  • Engage in cross-selling activities, offering additional financial products and services to existing clients.


Reporting and Compliance:

  • Set and achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets aligned with business KPIs.

  • Provide timely and accurate reports on sales activities, performance metrics, and pipeline projections.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant rules, regulations, and internal policies related to mortgage lending and sales practices.



Qualifications and Skills:


  • Bachelor's/Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Finance, Marketing).

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in mortgage sales, banking, or related financial services.

  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.

  • Strong knowledge of mortgage products, lending practices, and compliance requirements.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Proficiency in using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and relevant software tools.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities effectively.

  • Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and channel partners.
