Job Summary
To give leadership and direction required to ensure that the Chinese Owned business relationships are onboarded, grown and retained by providing excellent financial products and banking services that add value to the bank and the customer while minimizing costs and risk to the bankJob Description
- Grow the SME team’s portfolio profitability by identifying new and existing customer potential including sales opportunities and new product promotion initiatives.
- Developing and executing long term business strategies and annual plans for attracting and onboarding new Chinese Owned businesses as well as ensuring that existing relationships are maintained to guarantee a profitable portfolio of this niche segment.
- To be the lead resource for the bank in dealing with Mandarin speaking clients and provide guidance and direction on the approach required to be able to penetrate Chinese Business Community.
- Performance and Reporting – Monitoring portfolio performance metrics, tracking progress and providing regular updates and financial reports to management
- Financial Performance – to effectively ensure profitability of the portfolio through growing the Asset book, deposits, fee income and proactively manage cost of funds in line with the bank’s appetite.
- Relationship management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including support partners, product houses and customers
- Manage performance of the Portfolio against key financial (risk-adjusted contribution) sales, service and operational targets.
- Proactively Research competitive threats and opportunities, create a target list for potential new business within the market and onboard.
- Identify priority customers using the Customer Relationship Planning templates to assess their present and potential contribution.
- Overall Portfolio Management and monitoring to ensure good control environment and quality of the portfolio, using available triggers and adherence to Risk management guidelines and policies
- Conduct regular and annual reviews of the portfolio as well as clients KYC compliance status and adherence to anti-money laundering policies in accordance with the Bank’s framework
- Communicate all key messages to customers including agreed service standards, negotiated pricing, relationship team contact new product changes
