Summary Description
Makes and services a variety of business loans for commercial customers. Calls on potential and existing customers to develop new business, to increase existing business and to retain current business. Gives financial advice and counsel to current clients and prospective clients on lending, commercial deposits and fee-based services.
Essential Functions
- Generally manages units of less than $40 million in outstandings
- Originates commercial loans within assigned geographic region
- Maintains and services a loan portfolio
- Works with centralized credit analyst to monitor creditworthiness of borrowers
- Participates with Collection Department on problem loans
- Retains, expands and attracts customer base
- Works with Branch Managers to develop new business and supports Managers in lending and calling activities
- Monitors loan quality and follows up with borrowers on past due loans
- Participates in various community-related activities
- Assists in recovery efforts and collateral liquidation
- Reviews commercial overdrafts daily
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Banking or Finance
- One to three years commercial experience, including commercial loans, credit analysis and loan review
- Work is generally performed indoors in environmentally controlled conditions
- Typically the employee may sit to perform the work. However, there may be some standing, walking, bending and carrying of light items in the course of the work
