About the RoleROLEThe Client Group in Singapore has an opening for a Relationship Analyst (“RA”). The successful candidate will be an integral member of our Singapore and Southeast Asia and will be primarily responsible for supporting and strengthening our sales and existing relationships efforts with intermediary clients.
Commanding a thorough knowledge of our business, coupled with strong interpersonal skills, the RA will work closely with other members of the team on a portfolio of wealth and intermediary accounts and relationships and be responsible for supporting our relationship management efforts. The Analyst will work closely with Business Development Managers, Portfolio Advisors and Relationship Managers in support of a number of assigned clients, responding to ad hoc inquiries, undertaking market research, and preparing for client meetings.
This position has frequent interaction with clients and will be expected to conduct independent analysis, initiate original research, and respond to inquiries on a wide range of topics, often under significant time pressure. Coverage will span both fund distribution (including long-only, hedge funds and privates) as well as sub advisory relationships.
Incorporating product knowledge with firm awareness, the Analyst will be required to effectively communicate client expectations with a variety of internal constituents including portfolio services, legal and compliance, portfolio management, product management, the client service group, trading, and other functions. Some travel may be required.
QUALIFICATIONSThe successful candidate will have a passion for learning about the global capital markets. In-depth knowledge of equity, fixed income, alternatives and/or multi-asset investment products is strongly preferred. Interest in the business of investment management, a desire to work in a team-based and collaborative environment, and an analytical/problem-solving orientation are required.
Candidates should possess a demonstrable track record of achievement, capacity for differentiated thinking, strong work ethic, and the willingness to work with others. Strong presentation skills and client-facing experience are highly preferred.
Other required qualifications include:
2-5 years of relevant experience in analytical roles within the investment industry
Direct buy-side experience supporting intermediary/distribution client relationships preferred
Strong academic credentials including a Bachelor's degree with preference given to candidates who have undertaken post-graduate work or are progressing towards a CFA, CAIA or an equivalent qualification.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Fluency in English required and Chinese (Mandarin) preferred
Proficiency in Bloomberg and Microsoft Office, specifically in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Demonstrated proficiency in leveraging AI and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, research, analysis, and communication.
