We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Guy Carpenter. This role will be based in New York. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

This role will manage an assigned client portfolio by ensuring timely follow-up, accurate activity entry, and premium collection; collaborate with departments to support collections and fund settlements while adhering to SLAs. Provide detailed accounting and claims information to support sales, build strong relationships with brokers, clients, and markets, and actively contribute to team efforts.

We will count on you to:

  • Manage assigned client portfolio, including timely follow-up, accurate system entry of client activity, and securing reinsurance premiums.

  • Collaborate with other departments to support collection efforts and cash application processes as needed.

  • Oversee timely settlement of funds to and from clients, ensuring compliance with all payment warranties and conditions.

  • Complete assigned tasks accurately and in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

  • Provide detailed client-specific accounting and claims information to support sales opportunities.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Brokers, Clients, and Markets by understanding their needs and resolving issues effectively; actively participate in team meetings to share knowledge and contribute to outcomes.

What you need to have:

  • 2+ years of experience in excess of loss reinsurance and accounting, along with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or risk management.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with strong attention to detail and ability to manage workload effectively.

  • Demonstrated teamwork skills with a positive attitude, proactive in offering and implementing ideas to improve processes in a dynamic environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills, consistently promoting and enhancing the Guy Carpenter brand.

Marsh is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $61,300 to $103,500.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
