Reinsurance Associate

Summary/Job Purpose:

Provides administrative and technical support that facilitates reinsurance processing for the organization

Essential Functions:

Percentage of Time:

• Review and manage Laserfiche tasks for direct business, and provide research as needed
• Research assumed business premium legacy items and work with Senior Reinsurance Analyst for a resolution
• Responsible for PRS premium entry and reconciliation
• Assists with fac accounts and provides research to identify any discrepancies or differences
• Responsible for compiling and reconciling Tokio Marine, Hyundai and Surplus Treaty bordereaux
• Track Fac Oblig Cession Requests and ensure that accounts are booked accordingly
• Work closely with Senior Reinsurance Analysts to handle any premium discrepancies.
• Manage outstanding underwriting data requests
• Support the Reinsurance Accounting team and works on projects, as assigned

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required: 

Diploma/Degree & Experience:

• Associate’s degree and 2+ years with related insurance and reinsurance experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Proficient in excel is a must.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Effective negotiation skills
• Good organization skills
