Job Description
Prepares patients for treatment. Assists Therapists in their treatment of patients. Maintains Therapy Department in a neat and orderly fashion.
Job Responsibility
- Prepares patients for treatment by therapist; assists therapists during therapy.
- Transports patients, independently, to and from department using stretcher or wheelchair.
- Maintains equipment and working area in clean, orderly condition.
- Assists professional staff in ordering supplies; orders linens and maintains linen closet in a neat and orderly condition.
- Places patients in position for treatment and assists in transfers.
- Assembles and places equipment and supplies for use.
- Performs a variety of duties essential to the function of the department such as taking messages, entering and retrieving basic information into/from computer, performing messenger duties, etc.
- Transports equipment and supplies.
- Assists in workshops, as required.
- Performs related duties as required. All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Duties not mentioned here, but considered related are not essential functions.
Job Qualification
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 0-1 years of relevant experience, required.
