Requirements

As the Regulatory Reporting Specialist, your responsibilities will encompass:

• Compiling accurate, timely, and complete regulatory and statistical reporting returns.

• Providing prompt responses to supervisory authorities' queries and following up as needed.

• Maintaining and enhancing the firm's reporting framework, including user acceptance testing of reporting software.

• Ensuring high-quality data and consistency across multiple reports through regular data quality checks.

• Preparing ad-hoc management reporting and offering accurate feedback to Executive Management.

• Staying abreast of regulatory developments and leading the implementation of necessary changes.

• Leading and managing the implementation of new projects related to regulatory submissions, ensuring sound risk management and compliance.

Skills and Capabilities:

To excel in this role, you should have:

• Practical experience in regulatory or risk reporting within a bank or financial institution.

• A tertiary level of education in Accounting and Finance, Maths and Statistics, or a related subject.

• Strong knowledge of reporting packages and tools, with proficiency in handling data files.

• Familiarity with financial regulations affecting financial services firms and Malta Financial Services Authority rules would be an advantage.

• Analytical mindset with exceptional problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.

• Self-motivation and a proactive attitude, coupled with the ability to take initiative and lead as needed.

• Strong multitasking and prioritization capabilities.

• A constant willingness to improve and learn, staying proactive in staying up-to-date with industry trends.
