About the Role & Team

This role is responsible for providing support for a complex and dynamic timeshare business at Disney Vacation Club (DVC).  This candidate will support the Sr. Manager of Regulatory Affairs Strategy in a variety of different regulatory-oriented projects and assignments to enable business transformation initiatives.

The role will require a strong acumen of the timeshare business, excellence in legal research and document creation, and expert level project management skills from ideation to sustainment. The person will create project plans to implement complex business strategy requirements that require creative regulatory solutions. The role will have a proactive involvement ensuring compliance with applicable timeshare laws and regulations, including action plans for appropriate business action.

You will report to the Sr Manager, Regulatory Affairs.

This is a Full-Time, Fully On-Site role based in Celebration, FL.

What You Will Do
  • Lead and manage large scale regulatory strategy and innovation projects, including new or updated legislation, regulatory schemes for future growth, and strategy initiatives.

  • Create project plans to support long term growth for cross-functional teams, including Legal, Marketing, Business Operations, Compliance, Finance, Technology, Member services, Walt Disney World Operations, and corporate partners such as Tax, Controllership, and the Corporate Secretary.

  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day operational tasks related to project delivery.

  • Assess the market environment, identify gaps/opportunities and develop plans to implement regulatory and legal requirements

  • Ability to -contribute to projects related to registrations, licensing, training, auditing, document control, communication, and critical strategic initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state registrations processes and obtain all approvals required.

  • Manage highly sensitive corporate information working directly with executives across DVC and The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) corporate areas.

  • Evaluate and refine existing processes to ensure best practices and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum of 5 years leading large scale projects and programs across multiple stakeholders including executives

  • Minimum of 4 years in legal, regulatory affairs, compliance, sales support, quality improvement, or equivalent experience.

  • Possess strong strategic and critical thinking skills, including the ability to collaborate with legal partners to design and implement changes to the business.

  • Proven ability to present complex information, project plans, risks, and roadblocks to executives and ability to solve for solutions instantly.

  • Strong oversight and attention to detail skills in the legal, compliance, and regulatory affairs field.

  • Proven experience and understanding of legal compliance environment and research techniques.

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities with minimal direction.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as individually.

  • Proven knowledge of timeshare regulations.

  • Excellent verbal skills to communicate clearly, effectively, and seamlessly with external individuals such as government officials.

  • Proven written communicator demonstrating clarity, conciseness, and the ability to convey key messages for diverse audiences.

  • Demonstrated curiosity and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Education
  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.

  • A Masters of Business Administration is preferred.

  • Project Management Certification is preferred.

The hiring range for this position in Celebration, FL is $120,800 to $161,900 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
