At OrthoVirginia, we believe exceptional patient experiences begin with exceptional people. As a Registration Coordinator, you'll serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, helping create a welcoming and positive experience from the moment they arrive.
In this role, you'll support the day-to-day operations of the clinic by coordinating patient registration, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and serving as a key communication link between patients, providers, and support teams. What You'll Do
- Greet patients and visitors while providing a welcoming and professional experience
- Answer incoming calls and assist patients with scheduling appointments
- Register new patients and update demographic and insurance information
- Verify insurance eligibility, obtain authorizations, and ensure accurate documentation
- Collect copays, account payments, and other patient balances while maintaining accurate records
- Coordinate with providers, medical assistants, billing teams, financial counselors, and other support staff to ensure seamless patient care
- Manage phone, fax, and email communications in a timely and organized manner
- Assist with administrative tasks including filing, record maintenance, and provider support
- Support general clinic operations, including office supply management and equipment coordination
- Follow established procedures for scheduling, patient intake, documentation, and record retention
- Serve as a resource for patients by helping answer insurance and billing-related questions or directing them to the appropriate team member
