At OrthoVirginia, we believe exceptional patient experiences begin with exceptional people. As a Registration Coordinator, you'll serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, helping create a welcoming and positive experience from the moment they arrive.

In this role, you'll support the day-to-day operations of the clinic by coordinating patient registration, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and serving as a key communication link between patients, providers, and support teams. What You'll Do

  • Greet patients and visitors while providing a welcoming and professional experience
  • Answer incoming calls and assist patients with scheduling appointments
  • Register new patients and update demographic and insurance information
  • Verify insurance eligibility, obtain authorizations, and ensure accurate documentation
  • Collect copays, account payments, and other patient balances while maintaining accurate records
  • Coordinate with providers, medical assistants, billing teams, financial counselors, and other support staff to ensure seamless patient care
  • Manage phone, fax, and email communications in a timely and organized manner
  • Assist with administrative tasks including filing, record maintenance, and provider support
  • Support general clinic operations, including office supply management and equipment coordination
  • Follow established procedures for scheduling, patient intake, documentation, and record retention
  • Serve as a resource for patients by helping answer insurance and billing-related questions or directing them to the appropriate team member

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of customer service or administrative experience
  • Healthcare, medical office, or patient registration experience, preferred
