About the Role:

As a Regional Technical Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the local operation to deliver safety improvements, plans and projects and own specific assigned elements of the site safety masterplan. With increased focus on machinery safety, team is supporting the site to continually assess and improve the technical safety of the operational equipment and infrastructure by applying Essity Standards and industry best practices.

What You Will Do:

  • An Employee with uncompromised commitment to our I Care journey which ensures a safe, healthy, and sustainable work environment. 

  • Supports the sites to apply technical safety standards in assigned region.  

  • Supports the sites to apply loss prevention standards in assigned region. 

  • Supports the technical safety team to facilitate machinery safety and risk assessments processes 

  • Supports the sites in new machinery projects to assure safety performance level of machines are met. 

  • Provides expertise and knowledge to implement and maintain a robust system for Process Safety. 

  • Supports technical, process safety, loss prevention audits and capability building of organization accordingly 

  • Participates in required networks for regional technical safety activities with other sites and Global Technical Safety group. 

  • Is supporting the site in root cause analysis for incidents where technical safety is an element. 

Who You Are:

  • University degree in Engineering or technical experience in related field

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in related field

  • Fluent in spoken and written English

  • Experience in building Safety Awareness culture across organization

  • Strong communication and organizational skills (understanding of matrix organizations)

  • Ability to drive cross functional projects

  • Willingness to travel (up to 50% of total monthly time)

  • Excellence in execution, including prioritization, stakeholder management, and problem-solving

More About Location:

The role can be based in one of the Essity manufacturing site’s location in Europe.
