Regional Technical Director – Taiwan
Location: Hsinchu Science Park / Greater Hsinchu Area
Travel: 40–60% (customer fabs, ITRI, SE Asia partners, HQ Colorado)

Role Mission
The Regional Technical Director – Taiwan owns technical commercialization and customer adoption of Forge Nano’s Tephra™ ALD platform in Taiwan. This role bridges process credibility, customer roadmap alignment, and production adoption, transforming Tephra from an R&D curiosity into a fab-designed platform of record. This is not a channel sales role — it is a deep technical commercialization leadership role.
Core Responsibilities
Customer & Account Leadership
• Own all Taiwan IDM, foundry, OSAT, and R&D accounts (TSMC, UMC, VIS, PSMC, ITRI, etc.)
• Lead all technical pre-sales engagements, process evaluations, and proof-of-value programs.
• Establish Forge Nano as a trusted process platform partner, not just an equipment vendor
• Drive multi-tool adoption roadmaps and design-in strategies
Technical Sales Execution
• Lead Tephra platform positioning, differentiation, and roadmap mapping to fab needs
• Own PoC → Demo → Pilot → Production conversion funnel
• Develop application qualification strategies for SiC, GaN, power, MEMS, photonics, specialty logic.
• Manage pricing strategy in collaboration with FN Taiwan agent and HQ.
• Demo / Pilot Infrastructure Ownership
• Establish and operate Forge Nano’s Taiwan Demo.
• Own demo utilization, recipe readiness, and customer visit programs
• Build standardized qualification templates and adoption frameworks
Channel Enablement
• Certify and enable FN Taiwan agent through a structured Bronze/Silver/Gold ladder.
• Control messaging, pricing guardrails, and qualification quality
• Maintain technical selling governance.
Must Have
• 12+ years in semiconductor equipment technical sales, process engineering, or fab integration
• Direct experience supporting Taiwan fabs (TSMC/UMC/VIS/PSMC/ITRI, etc.)
• Strong ALD, CVD, etch, or thin-film process knowledge
• Proven PoC → Pilot → Production conversion experience
• Fluent Mandarin and English
Highly Preferred
• Experience launching new platform equipment in Taiwan
• Prior TEL, Lam, KLA, AMAT, ASM, or Applied background
• Power / SiC / GaN / MEMS / photonics process experience
• Existing fab-level technical relationships
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in one of the following:
• Electrical Engineering
• Materials Science & Engineering
• Chemical Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Physics or Applied Physics
• Semiconductor Manufacturing / Microelectronics Engineering
Preferred:
Master’s degree (M.S.) in:
• Materials Science
• Chemical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Semiconductor Device Physics
• Thin Film / Surface Science
• MBA or Executive Business Education is a plus for strategic account leadership and multi-tool commercialization
Professional Certifications (Plus):
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• SEMI/semiconductor manufacturing certifications
• Safety certifications relevant to fab operations (EHS, hazardous materials, high-vacuum systems)
