Job Title:Regional Supplier Quality Leader

Summary:To provide leadership for supplier quality programs to ensure compliance with the Momentive Quality Management System (QMS) and in accordance with customer quality requirements.

Responsibilities Include:

The Regional Supplier Quality Leader will be responsible for leading the Supplier Quality Initiatives in the region for their assigned locations and commodity focus.  In this capacity they will:

  • Drive Supplier Performance Monitoring, partner with the sites’ quality teams, leads to drive improvement in supplier performance.  Lead periodic supplier quality reviews with the sites and track KPIs. Deploy regional dashboards and escalate chronic underperformance. Support the sites with the new standards and process implementation. Share best practices across the region and with global team.
  • Drive Supplier Development identify regional top‑risk suppliers and implement structured improvement programs.
  • In partnership with site quality team responsible for managing supplier complaints, driving root cause analysis, implementing corrective and preventive actions, and eliminating repeat issues.
  • Ensures consistent supplier performance and compliance, resulting in higher product quality and reliability for customers. Reduce the customer complaints related to the supplier's performance (customer disruption)
  • In partnership with procurement support the New Supplier Qualification. Validate supplier certifications and compliance (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100, etc.). Accountable for approving Sourcing-MOC’s that are issued within assigned sites and commodity focus
  • Lead containment in partnership with the sites quality team and supply chain team, root cause analysis, and permanent corrective actions for regional supplier issues. Drive structured problem-solving.  Manage chronic issues through escalation processes and executive reviews.
  • Coordinate with the procurement and supply chain team  to run supplier risk assessment as per customer requirements ( GMP, IATF, EM)
  • Lead / perform Supplier Audits on a regular cadence as identified by the prescribed selection methods; assist with problem resolution and opportunities for optimization.
  • Support Site Quality  team to ensure consistency in Raw Material and Packaging Material specifications; review discrepancies between Momentive and Supplier specifications at individual sites.
  • Lead Quality Initiatives across assignable for training key personnel on the Supplier Complaints Process.  Which includes; capturing & entering instances of Supplier Non-conformance, driving investigations and tracking and ensuring closure on complaints.
  • Maintain records of supplier audits performed; scheduling and conducting prioritized supplier audits.  Communicate results and opportunities.
  • Support the organization during Customer and 3rd party Quality and ISO Audits in the area of External Provider Management

Qualifications:

The following are required for the role

  • A bachelor‘s degree in Chemistry/Science, Engineering or related field of study

  • Previous Supplier Quality experience or the equivalent of 3-5 years Quality Assurance, Quality Control or Process Engineering experience within a manufacturing organization.

  • Knowledge of the  quality management system.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and Root Cause / Corrective Action skills.

  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization including interaction external to the organization with suppliers

  • Possess skills and experience in Quality Auditing.

  • Have an effective communications style that builds strong relationships and impacts outcomes and decisions.

  • Knowledge of computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint

  • Effective interpersonal skills, including good listening ability and the capability to influence others to establish or change precedents. 

  •    Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal)
