What You Can Expect:
Solution Development
- Work with internal teams to design Warehouse & Distribution Solutions aligned to our Core WS Products and solution templates inclusive of the careful application of technology and specific innovation tailored to the customers’ needs.
- Understand, interpret, and map out customer operation workflow with the information obtained from the RFx package, customer meeting and/or site visits.
- Identify potential areas for optimization in customer operation workflow and propose improvements.
- Analyze customer’s data in the RFQ/RFP package to recommend suitable storage system(s), complimenting material handling equipment (MHE) and manpower resources with the right manning level.
- Identify suitable warehouse locations based on customer business requirements.
- Propose and design warehouse internal layout(s) with CLASS/AutoCAD software.
Commercial & Pricing
- Work in partnership with the Sales/BD/Ops team in winning the business by simulating the most competitive selling rate(s) and participate in supporting financial negotiations to ensure profitability and/or the recovery of all project and operation costs.
- Determine estimated costs required for the proposed solution via key personnel/team within country organization, existing vendor contacts and/or direct sourcing.
- Develop cost models based on RFx requirements in order to drive and determine selling rates in accordance with customer pricing template.
- Ensure projected revenue in the cost models meet the targeted MIRR (Minimum Internal Rate of Return) and EBIT (Earnings Before Interest and Tax).
Standardization, Coaching & Training
- Ensure COMPLIANCE to Rhenus Warehousing Solutions Delivery Model (RWSDM) pertaining to Solution Design Steps and guidelines within ONE SD
What You Bring:
Required skills / Competencies
- Solid analytical skills with good commercial and technical understanding of WS.
- Structured project approach and ability to deliver results on time, on budget, and to the excellent standards.
- Good knowledge in warehouse solution design; able to develop operationally feasible solution(s) to meet customer requirements.
- Good command in spoken and written English and other Asian/European language(s) is beneficial.
- Good organization skills
- Self-starter with positive attitude to overcome problems effectively and able to work under own initiative with minimal supervision.
- Highly responsible, initiative, proactive, and able to coordinate and motivate people and to work as a team under time pressure
- Able to travel on regional level on project basis as necessary.
Experiences / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Management or relevant technical field
- Experience in modern warehouse and supply chain solution design including automation and other modern warehousing innovations (robotics, digitalisation).
- Experience in VSM and/or Six Sigma is a plus
- + years of relevant working experience of solution design in the logistics and supply chain industry; knowledge in 3PL is a plus.
- Preferred Industry experience in , similar experiences in 3PL environment is a plus
- Practical working experience with CLASS/AutoCAD and/or other supply chain design software/tools is a plus
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP Function, Pivot Table)
