Job Overview:
SUMMARY: The Regional Site Director is responsible for ensuring daily and project work is completed safely and on time, and that SOW and quality standards are maintained within assigned distribution centers. They will ensure the quality of work meets company and customer standards. Normal work hours may be overnight and during the weekend. Changes to hours can be made at the discretion of the VP of Manufacturing and Distribution or to meet client’s/account needs and service
requirements. This position requires 75% travel.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides oversite of Site Operations Managers to ensure compliance of all Site Operations Manager

- Responsible for operational financial budget, labor planning, and cost optimization for all assigned Site Operations Managers
- Hires and onboards all new Site Operations Managers for all new Food Distribution business in designated Region.
- Manages Service Provider turnover for all Food Distribution in designated region.
- Accountable for the hiring and onboarding of all Service Providers for new Food Distribution business in designated region
- Partners with the customer’s Regional Food Safety leaders for all Food Distribution sites in region
- Partners with the customer’s Regional Food Distribution management to ensure KPIs are met
- Conducts all site Quarterly Business Reviews for all Food Distribution sites in the region
- Ensures audit readiness for all Food Distribution sites in designated region
- Participates in new start-ups for Food Distribution nationally.
- Identifies incremental business opportunities in existing customers.
- Collaborates with team to ensure coordination and successful execution of daily operations while resolving deficiencies in a timely manner.
- Complete professional development courses including SQF Internal Auditor Certification
- Measures performance provides feedback and develops staff; sets clear expectations.
- Advises on and enforces company policies to establish a culture of health and safety according to legal guidelines.
- Supports the development of the company’s OHS (Occupational Health & Safety) policies and programs.
- Advises and instructs on various safety-related topics as needed.
- Conducts risk assessment and enforces preventative safety measures.
- Other tasks and projects deemed reasonable and requested by the customer and/or VP of Manufacturing and Distribution
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
- Reports to the VP of Manufacturing and Distribution.
- Directly manages: Up to 10 Site Operations Managers
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE:
- 10 – 15 years of related experience.
- At least 7 years of management experience, preferably in janitorial, sanitation or related field.
- Experience in facilities maintenance or janitorial business.
- Experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment, preferred.
- Previous experience managing dispersed locations and people preferred.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Knowledge of floor care as well as the cleaning equipment used on each type.
- Ability to follow terms of contract as related to proper floor maintenance.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently, and work well in a team setting.
- Detail oriented and organized.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to create and lead teams.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- Bachelors’ Degree preferred, Highschool Diploma or GED required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Continually required to stand, walk, bend, stoop and kneel.
- Frequently required to bend, stoop, and kneel.
- Must be able to lift and/or move 50 + pounds.
- Ability to communicate orally with customers, vendors, management, and other co-workers is crucial. Regular use of the mobile smart phone and e-mail for communication is essential.
- Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information, and to prepare or inspect documents.
- Must be able to operate forklifts/pallet jacks as needed.
- The job is performed in multiple distribution warehouses.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 75% (mostly air travel)
