Job Summary:
The Permian Basin Sales Representative will be responsible for generating sales growth and providing product support for GDEP Drilling products to our valued Permian Basin customers.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains relationships with key target accounts at district (operations mgr/superintendent) , rig (rig manager/toolpusher) and Frac Customer and site level. Rig visits required
- Develop and implement sales strategy along with managing weekly schedule for visiting active drilling rigs within territory.
- Assist with new product testing by identifying test partners, managing test process, collecting and reporting performance results
- Applies knowledge of GDEP Drilling products by conducting PUMPU and other customer-facing product training seminars
- Answers inquiries / request for quotes from clients concerning product price and availability
- Provides information, quotes, credit terms, and other bid specifications to clients.
- Negotiates prices, terms of sales, and/or service agreements; prepares contracts and submits orders.
- Collaborates with purchasing departments, managers, and other staff to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly.
- Periodically prepares and reports results, status of accounts, and leads to manager.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Answers specific product related questions and works with engineering team to solve challenges at the rig level
- Expected road travel is 3-5 days a week. Some overnight hotel stays may be required or as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills
- Thorough understanding of drilling operations/equipment
- Follow-up and follow-through skills
- Organized with attention to detail
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Biology, Engineering, or related field required; MBA is preferred for advancement.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Travel to meet with clients or potential clients will be required on occasion.
