JOB SUMMARY

The Regional Sales Representative develops, increases and maintains sales for the assigned regional area of responsibility. The Region Sales Representative assists the Region Sales Manager with the daily operation and profitability of the assigned regional area of responsibility, LAMP sales, business development, product training and support and all safety programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assists in managing the profitability of the regional area of responsibility, including timely preparation and completion of budgets, sales forecasts and submission of financial reports required by the company.
  • Responsible for sales efforts in assigned regional area of responsibility as required by maintaining relationships, client portfolios, and favorable contacts with current and potential accounts. Also maintains contact with the clients on a regular basis through client meetings on-site and through external meetings at the clients' offices for contractual negotiations and technical presentations.
  • Responsible for participating in the development of technical manuals and sales literature, assists Sales personnel in technical sales presentations or provides technical presentations directly to customers.
  • Recommends product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential.Next
  • Responsible for field sales activities including ongoing professional training as required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • BA/BS degree preferred. Minimum 5 years of oil & gas industry experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills required in order to interface with various levels within the company and with clients.
  • Relies on extensive industry experience and independent judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Ability to interact effectively with clients and company personnel in order to provide information and technical support.
  • Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Must have excellent communication skills.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Valid driver's license and a good driving record required.
