The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving growth, market share, and customer engagement throughout an assigned region by providing strategic leadership and support to the Company's dealer network. This position serves as the primary commercial liaison between KION North America and its channel partners, leading business planning, sales execution, market development, operational coordination, and relationship management activities that support long-term growth and profitability.
Working closely with dealer leadership, sales teams, customers, and internal stakeholders, the Regional Sales Manager develops and executes regional business strategies, identifies growth opportunities, strengthens market presence, and ensures dealers have the tools, resources, and support necessary to succeed. The role requires a balance of strategic thinking, consultative sales leadership, operational coordination, and collaborative problem-solving to enhance dealer performance, customer satisfaction, and overall business results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Dealer Network Leadership & Sales Growth

    • Develop and execute strategic business plans with channel partners to achieve sales, market share, and profitability objectives.
    • Collaborate with dealer leadership and sales teams to identify growth opportunities, establish performance goals, and implement market development strategies.
    • Influence and support dealer sales organizations through coaching, training, business reviews, and sharing of best practices.
    • Drive pipeline growth, customer engagement, and strategic account development across the assigned region.
    • Monitor dealer performance against business objectives and partner on action plans to improve results and capitalize on market opportunities.

Business Operations & Dealer Support

    • Serve as the primary point of contact between channel partners and KION North America, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and issue resolution.
    • Coordinate cross-functional support and resources to ensure efficient execution of sales activities, order fulfillment, customer requirements, and operational needs.
    • Assist dealers with product configurations, quoting processes, systems navigation, and other commercial activities to support successful customer outcomes.
    • Proactively identify challenges and mobilize internal resources to resolve issues impacting dealer performance or customer satisfaction.
    • Foster strong partnerships with internal teams, including Product Management, Finance, Logistics, Aftermarket, Marketing, Customer Service, and Sales Operations to support dealer and customer success.

Market Development & Customer Engagement

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with dealer leaders, sales personnel, customers, and key stakeholders throughout the assigned region.
    • Conduct regular business reviews, customer visits, product demonstrations, training events, and strategic planning sessions with channel partners.
    • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth and improved market positioning.
    • Provide market intelligence and customer insights to support business planning, product strategy, and commercial decision-making.
    • Promote awareness and adoption of company initiatives, programs, products, and solutions throughout the dealer network.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and verbal, preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, channel management, dealer development, account management, or related commercial roles.
  • Experience in industrial equipment, material handling, capital equipment, or related industries preferred.
  • Demonstrated success managing a territory and achieving sales and business performance objectives.
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities with diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority and effectively collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business-planning capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms such as Salesforce.com.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the Southeast U.S. and Mexico.
