On the Workforce Identity side, Okta enables seamless, secure access to the tools government employees rely on daily to carry out critical work. On the Customer Identity side, we empower developers to create engaging, secure user experiences—whether for citizen-facing applications, mobile driver’s licenses, or state digital identity programs.

With flagship customers across NSW State and Federal Government, Okta has already established a strong foundation in this market. Also, our commitment to government customers is further reinforced by our local data center and IRAP certification, ensuring we meet the highest security and compliance standards. We are now looking for a dynamic sales leader to build upon this success and drive further growth across these territories.

As Our Leader in Public Sector for NSW and Federal, You Will:

  • Define and execute a long-term vision, strategy, and targets to drive growth in your territory.
  • Lead and align a high-performing virtual team that includes Partners, Solution Engineers, Customer Success, Technical Account Managers, Renewals, Professional Services, Business Development, and more.
  • Drive pipeline generation and revenue growth, consistently meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Expand and deepen relationships with NSW and Federal Government customers, fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Establish yourself as a thought leader in Okta’s platform and the broader Identity space.
  • Champion Okta’s value proposition to prospective clients through compelling presentations, demonstrations, and strategic engagement.
  • Embody and promote Okta’s core values: Love Our Customers, Always Secure, Always On, Build and Own It, and Drive What’s Next.

You Could Be a Great Fit for This Role If You Have:

  • 10+ years of field sales experience, consistently demonstrating high performance and a growth mindset.
  • Proven success in selling enterprise cloud software to public sector organisations.
  • Experience collaborating with technical partners and reseller channels to drive customer alignment and territory growth.
  • A strong track record in new business development, consistently exceeding financial targets.
  • A curious mindset, adaptability, and a passion for learning and growth.
  • Executive presence, strong communication skills, and the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
  • Experience with solution selling and/or consultative sales techniques; familiarity with MEDDPICC is a plus.
  • Based in Sydney.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
