The Regional Sales Manager North and East Spain is responsible for Achieve annual sales targets and implement strategies and goals through effective management of the Spain North and East region sales team and through building and growing strong customer relations. Develop area sales plans in conjunction with the Commercial Director and sales teams, to support and grow Leica Biosystems’ market share in the assigned territory.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Lead, coach, mentor and support a team of Account Managers and Application Consultants
- Leading a sustainable and predictable business that delivers success to both Leica Biosystems and customers.
- Foster a culture of opportunity management through SalesForce.com following LBS’ standard work. Continuous improvement on opportunity management agility (coaching the team to advance opportunity stages), focus on accuracy of expected close dates, and winning probability
- Generating funnel and keeping a win rate at a high level supporting the achievement of the sales goals. Aiming for a funnel visibility of 12 to 18 months.
- Using SFDC and Funnel data to generate a reliable forecast for 30-60-90 days. Additionally, delivering directional information for manufacturing readiness for 180 days forecast. Being constantly updated on opportunity executions enabling weekly reviews of short-term forecast.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- MBA, Commercial Degree, or BSc in Life Sciences with relevant experience in Diagnostics, Life Science or Pathology markets
- 5+ years of People Leadership experience and sales, marketing or business development experience, working in complex, matrix environment
- 1 – 2 years P&L experience in an international company environment
- Demonstrated ability to influence and drive change, able to convert strategic initiatives into tactical activities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a commercial organization and a market segment/territory
