About the Team

The Clinical Solutions team at Elsevier is dedicated to improving patient outcomes and enhancing the quality of healthcare delivery. Our team works on a range of innovative products and services, including clinical decision support tools, nursing education solutions, and patient engagement platforms. We collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to ensure our solutions meet their needs and help them provide the best possible care to their patients.

About the Role

The Regional Sales Manager Dach is an important member of the Clinical Solutions sales management team and member of the Global Sales team. The role is responsible for the successful go-to-market strategy and execution (e.g., sales trainings) for key products (e.g., CK Med Ed, CK Physician, CKPAI, Complete Anatomy, Osmosis, Nursing Products, PSS) across DACH, developing commercial programs (incl. pricing), actively driving operational excellence (e.g., setting clear standards, ensuring processes are tight and controls are in place), setting up and maintaining Clinical Solutions KPI dashboard and driving overall accountability. This role would be responsible for realizing the targets and reporting back to management on execution. The Regional Sales Manager DACH will report to the VP Sales Europe. 

It is a mission-critical position in our organization that will transform how we reach and interact with medical, nursing and other health professional students, faculties, schools and hospitals and drive overall transformation from the sales team towards the ONE Health structure. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of sales representatives to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth in the DACH region.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop plans to capitalize on them.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activities.

Qualifications:

  • University degree or equivalent work experience in best practices/fast moving and progressive corporate work environment (preferably in science, healthcare, technology)
  • Fluent in English, fluent in German 
  • Mor then 5 years in sales, preferably in solutions selling. Additional experience in Strategic Consulting, Marketing or equivalent experience in Product Management 
  • Prior experience in developing e-product specific business plans
  • Strong experience in managing teams, in particular in an international matrix environment with a proven track record as a (informal) Sales Leader building trust, energizing teams and building strong collaboration 
  • Demonstrated strategic acumen, entrepreneurial behavior 
  • Innovation ability to develop and execute new ideas through collaboration
  • Creative and positive problem solving and change management skills
