The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will report directly to the Americas Sales Director and will be responsible for driving the promotion and sales of Actuation Technologies products and solutions within the Midwest territory. Desired locations for this candidate are Kansas City, MO or KS, North or South Dakota, Minneapolis, MN, Chicago, IL, or Indianapolis, IN. The RSM will develop and maintain strong customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, and work collaboratively with internal teams to achieve sales and business objectives.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Drive Regional Sales Growth: Achieve or exceed regional sales, order booking, profitability, and market share objectives through direct customer and channel engagement.
- Lead Commercial Strategy: Manage regional pricing, quotations, contract negotiations, and commercial risk to maximize profitability and secure strategic opportunities.
- Manage Channel Partners: Develop and manage manufacturer representatives, distributors, valve automation partners, and service providers to achieve regional growth objectives.
- Drive Channel Performance: Establish and monitor measurable partner objectives, including sales growth, forecast accuracy, pipeline development, specification wins, opportunity conversion, and market penetration.
- Develop Customer & Partner Relationships: Conduct regular customer and partner visits to identify opportunities, develop pursuit strategies, influence specifications, and close complex technical and commercial opportunities.
- Expand Installed Base Opportunities: Identify actuator replacement, modernization, retrofit, shutdown/turnaround, and lifecycle service opportunities within the regional installed base.
- Maintain Pipeline & CRM Accuracy: Ensure timely and accurate CRM management of specifications, project pursuits, quotations, competitive opportunities, installed-base initiatives, and orders.
- Lead Forecasting & Business Planning: Develop accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts while proactively identifying risks and opportunities affecting sales, bookings, and project conversion.
- Provide Market & Technical Insight: Monitor customer needs, industry trends, regulatory developments, and technology advancements and communicate insights to support business growth and strategy.
- Deliver Technical Presentations & Support: Conduct customer presentations, workshops, product demonstrations, factory visits, startups, industry events, and trade shows while traveling throughout the assigned territory.

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $125,000 - $155,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
