Job DescriptionAbout the Role:
Wise Business is building a structured global sales organisation to support businesses that need more guidance than a purely self-serve experience can provide.
We are looking for an experienced commercial leader to establish and lead the Wise Business sales motion across APAC from Singapore. This is not a role for someone inheriting an established team and operating model. You will initially be the senior sales owner for the region—developing the market plan, working priority opportunities, building cross-functional relationships, and creating the conditions to hire and scale the wider Singapore team.
The central Wise Business Sales function will define the core operating model, sales process, metrics, and payback methodology. You will have the autonomy to adapt regional tactics, channel priorities, and ways of working to what succeeds in APAC.
Role Overview — Day to Day
Own the Wise Business sales strategy and execution plan for APAC.
Assess the size, quality, and commercial potential of regional demand.
Personally manage priority opportunities while the regional team is being established.
Build a pipeline across inbound enquiries, profile signups, partnerships, events, and future outbound channels.
Determine which APAC businesses should receive sales-led support and which should remain within self-serve.
Build reliable regional forecasts and report on pipeline, conversion, activation, revenue, and payback.
Identify regional product, onboarding, KYC, and operational blockers, then work with the relevant teams to resolve them.
Establish relationships with APAC Country Managers and Wise Platform leaders as a senior regional peer.
Recruit, onboard, and develop the first Singapore Account Executives.
Create a strong coaching, pipeline-review, and performance-management cadence.
Adapt central playbooks and enablement to APAC markets without creating an entirely separate sales system.
Feed regional customer, competitor, and market intelligence into central Sales, Product, and leadership teams.
Commercial & Regional Leadership: Proven experience leading a B2B sales team or regional commercial motion. Demonstrated success in establishing and scaling a dedicated sales presence across fragmented or emerging regional markets
Building in Ambiguity: Track record of building structure in an ambiguous environment and operating autonomously without needing detailed direction from central leadership.
Execution to Strategy: Ability to balance short-term execution (handling initial pipeline and opportunities personally) with long-term strategy (developing repeatable commercial models and expansion plans).
Sales methodologies: Adapt a sales methodology that applies for the APAC region, ensuring a high velocity sales cadence is achieved.
Team Building & Talent Development: Demonstrated experience recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and developing sellers, with a plan to scale a team of six Account Executives.
Funnel & Process Optimization: Hands-on experience working through complex cross-functional operational problems, including optimizing sales processes, lead routing, customer onboarding, and local KYC/verification funnels.
Adaptation of Central Playbooks: Expertise in adapting central strategy, playbooks, and enablement to local APAC market conditions without fragmenting the overall sales system.
Forecasting & Performance Ownership: Full ownership of regional pipeline forecasting, reporting, conversion metrics, activation, revenue targets, and payback views.
Cross-Functional & Stakeholder Collaboration: Strong executive presence with a history of building relationships with regional peers (e.g., APAC Country Managers) and bringing regional market/competitor insights directly into central Product, Ops, and Leadership teams.
