Calix is looking for a Sales Intern to join our Regional Sales team for the Summer. You will be part of a unique and award-winning program within the company which provides the opportunity to learn new skills through training and on the job learning.
The role offers exposure to Calix solutions, sales motions, and cross-functional teams, providing valuable insight into how modern, data-driven sales organizations operate. This opportunity is well-suited for students pursuing STEM, business, or sales degrees who are passionate about technology and eager to advance the enablement of our seller community. The internship duration is approximately 90 days.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Track Salesforce opportunities and perform sales funnel analysis.
- Coordinate and facilitate calls with key stakeholders to gather data, schedule reminders, and support CRM updates and reporting needs.
- Prepare, analyze, and distribute management reports using Excel, Power BI, and related tools.
- Identify process improvement opportunities that support continuous enhancement of sales operations.
- Learn and articulate the Calix value proposition while gaining an understanding of the market landscape.
- Maintain high standards of CRM data hygiene to ensure decision‑making is grounded in accurate, high‑quality data.
- Assist Sales Managers and Sales Engineers with identifying, tracking, and engaging leads for targeted campaigns.
- Capture and distribute meeting notes with clear action items, ownership, and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Actively enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program, working towards a Bachelor's Degree in STEM, Business, Sales, or a related field. Preference will be given to juniors and seniors with previous work or internship experience.
- Currently pursuing a degree in STEM, business, or sales.
- Proficiency in Excel with strong data entry accuracy.
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms preferred.
- Strong aptitude for technology and the ability to learn new applications quickly.
- Demonstrated analytical problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Able to work effectively in a remote environment and adapt to fast‑changing circumstances.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Able to work for the complete summer break (May - August or June - September).

The base pay range for this position varies based on the geographic location. More information about the pay range specific to candidate location and other factors will be shared during the recruitment process. Individual pay is determined based on location of residence and multiple factors, including job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
