**This position will be responsible for covering the Asia-Pacific region and will be remote for someone living in the region.   


Overview of the Position:

The Senior Regional Sales Director will actively contribute to a dynamic, highly creative, and competitive sales organization by cultivating relationships within all levels and departments of customer accounts to identify and pursue areas of opportunity for Wencor MRO services. He/she will work closely with MRO leadership, other MRO sales team members as well as our Distribution/PMA teams to ensure sustained growth of current business and coordination of portfolio expansion.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Pursue new customers and enhance relationships with the existing customer base; meet with existing and potential key customers to build relationships and evaluate or promote business opportunities.
  • Work with customers and engineering to prepare definitive territory and business segment plans based on market research and competitive analysis to identify potential adjacent market opportunities and new products.
  • Perform tactical functions: prepare multi-year quote proposals, manage sales/engineering/customer interface, establish pricing, perform negotiations, manage customers and perform market analysis.
  • Identify, design and implement strategies to win new business and execute the tactics working with internal and external peers; participate in sales presentations/negotiations as appropriate to ensure maximum impact; participate in the development of bids and proposals that win business.
  • Ensure that the Sales Channel supports new product development & growth goals of the business.
  • Provide market feedback to repair facilities on new product development, market pricing, and general market trends.
  • Support financial reporting including forecasting, budgets, and quarterly reporting requirements.
  • Ensure coordinated, responsive, and efficient service and problem resolution.
  • Utilize Industry trade shows, conferences, and social media to position Wencor as primary provider of MRO solutions.
  • Utilize on-line systems, Power BI, ownCloud, etc., to document interaction with customers and ensure effective management of opportunities and leads.
  • Manage travel and entertainment within established guidelines and expectations.

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven history of successful, high level selling of MRO component repairs, PMA parts and DER repairs with the ability to negotiate profitable contracts to secure long term business.
  • Extensive experience of MRO repair facilities, competitors, key industry OEM's and airlines with a well-established network of airline and industry contacts.
  • Demonstrated ability to work at all levels including Senior level of company and customer accounts, drawing on experience and training to work at a self-directed pace and priority.
  • Highly collaborative individual with outstanding networking skills and effective verbal and written communication skills including customer presentations
  • Experience entering new markets, changing market scope, or adding value to existing products; ability to accurately evaluate functionality, usability, and marketability of product features.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines; hands-on individual with the ability to see the big picture and possessing well-developed problem-solving skills.
  • Computer skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint; CRM experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Engineering; MBA degree preferred with a minimum of fifteen (15) years aerospace industry MRO experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous Sales experience expected.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
