This is a rare opportunity to lead Digital Pathology growth for a true market leader across one of Leica Biosystems’ most exciting and high-growth regions.
Reporting to the VP, Global Sales Pathology Imaging, this role will lead the regional commercial acceleration of the Digital Pathology portfolio across META, Southeast Asia, APAC, Australia, and New Zealand, excluding China.
This position gives us a powerful platform to help laboratories and healthcare systems move from traditional pathology workflows toward more connected, scalable, and digitally enabled diagnostic models. You will lead and develop a high-performing organization, partnering across countries, functions, and commercial teams to expand Leica Biosystems’ market leadership, accelerate Digital Pathology adoption, and deliver sustainable growth across one of the most strategically important regions for the business.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Accelerate Digital Pathology growth across the region by delivering and exceeding quarterly and annual targets, driving revenue mix, profitability, and market-share expansion.
- Strengthen Leica Biosystems’ market leadership by advancing customer adoption, displacing competition, and positioning the portfolio as the preferred choice for complex pathology transformation.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing regional sales team, fostering strong capability, accountability, and a winning performance culture.
- Drive disciplined commercial execution across META, Southeast Asia, APAC, Australia, and New Zealand (excluding China), ensuring clear country-level ownership and alignment to growth priorities.
- Own and optimise the Digital Pathology sales funnel by partnering cross-functionally (sales, marketing, service, applications, informatics) to maximise pipeline quality, conversion, and customer impact.
- Lead strategic deals, complex tenders, and enterprise engagements, positioning Leica Biosystems as a trusted partner in digital pathology transformation. Ability to simplify and drive action sometimes without all the data necessary to decide

The essential requirements of the job include:
- Significant experience developing and executing sales strategy across diverse high-growth markets and geographies, with proven success in a matrix organization.
- Strong commercial leadership capability, with the ability to lead teams across multiple countries and drive performance in complex, competitive healthcare environments.Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading and developing teams,
- Proven track record in healthcare, life sciences, diagnostics, clinical workflow, digital pathology, pathology, or complex IT-enabled healthcare solutions.
- Experience introducing workflow-changing, value-based solutions to healthcare, pathology, laboratory, or life science customers.
- Strong understanding of competitive market dynamics, customer decision-making, enterprise sales cycles, and strategic account development.
- Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, project management discipline, resource planning, and analytical capability. Ability to prioritize and focus in a dynamic environment, simplify complexity, and drive action even when all data is not yet available.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Clinical pathology, molecular diagnostics, pathology laboratories, digital pathology, laboratory informatics, or enterprise healthcare technology solutions.
- Experience leading competitive conversion, strategic tenders, or enterprise digital transformation programs across regions, such as META, Southeast Asia, APAC, Australia, or New Zealand.
