Job Description:
Oppenheimer Asset Management (OAM), a division of Oppenheimer, is seeking a Regional Sales Consultant to join its Sales Team in Chicago. This role partners closely with Regional Directors and Financial Advisors throughout the Midwest region to drive advisor engagement, deliver product education, and support business development initiatives.
The Regional Sales Consultant serves as a key resource to Financial Advisors, helping increase awareness and adoption of OAM investment solutions through relationship management, training, and sales support. This position offers a blend of internal and external sales responsibilities and is ideal for a motivated financial services professional seeking continued growth within asset management distribution.
This position is based in Chicago and requires travel throughout the Midwest region.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Financial Advisors across the assigned territory to increase engagement and utilization of OAM investment solutions.
- Serve as a key resource to Financial Advisors by providing product education, sales support, and ongoing relationship management.
- Partner with Regional Directors to execute advisor engagement strategies, territory growth initiatives, and business development efforts.
- Develop expertise in OAM's investment platform, including separately managed accounts (SMAs), alternative investments, model portfolios, and third-party investment solutions.
- Coordinate and participate in advisor meetings, branch visits, training sessions, and educational events throughout the territory.
- Support asset gathering efforts by helping Financial Advisors identify and implement investment solutions for clients.
- Collaborate with OAM product teams, investment professionals, and sales colleagues to support advisor needs and business objectives.
- Travel throughout the assigned territory to support advisor engagement, training events, and business development activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in asset management, wealth management, financial services sales, relationship management, advisor support, or investment consulting.
- Active FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licenses registrations.
- Knowledge of wealth management products, including SMAs, alternative investments, managed account solutions, and advisory platforms preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial markets and investment products, paired with excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and willingness to travel approximately 25% or more within the assigned territory.

Compensation
For job postings in New York City and Chicago, Oppenheimer is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to the City of New York and Chicago and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making salary decisions including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 at the time of this posting. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
