Regional Safety Manager

In this role, you will work with a team of industry experts to help the world’s leading companies solve their most difficult problems. You will partner with seasoned leaders, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to deliver the highest quality solutions to our clients with consistency and accuracy.
What You’ll Do
You'll work individually and in teams to support capital projects and implement solutions for our clients. Together, you will help our clients make critical changes to improve their performance and realize their most important goals.
- Work with project teams, the Corporate Safety Manager, and Directors of Construction
- Direct, monitor, and assist with a wide range of analytical, technical, process, procedural, and administrative functions related to safety and regulatory compliance
- Provide subject-matter expertise
- Lead and supervising staffing to manage site safety on multiple active construction projects and client sites in all professional sectors and Design Group Practices
- Interface with our industry leading fortune 500 clients to provide safe project execution
- Visit active job sites and conduct site safety audits
- Work with project team during pre-construction to ensure safety planning
- Investigate, develop, and author reports based on observations from audits, walk throughs, and after observed opportunities, incidents, or accidents; maintain reports for management review
- Prepare hazards analysis plans in conjunction with execution team prior to start of each project
- Prepare site specific safety plans in conjunction with the execution team
- Develop, monitor, lead, and track safety trainings including toolbox talks and JSA and safety stand downs to create an effective regional safety program
- Develop and manage a program to make readily available all safety data sheets and notify affected parties of updates
- Provide regular updates and reports to construction leaders and the Safety Manager
- Train site mangers on technical and administrative protocols for reporting including PFAS, scaffolding, LOTO, near misses, accidents, injuries, and incidents
- Develop a master safety presentation for each site to be included as part of project proposals, updates, and presentations
- Prepare a regional site safety loss prevention plan based on a national template
- Interface with senior management and Client EHS Managers, and contribute to the interface with other Design Group offices regarding safety issues
- Review subcontractor safety plans
- Monitor the inventory, usage, maintenance, and availability of personal protective equipment for regional construction professionals
- Review Design Group design details for compliance with safety standards during all phases of construction
- Serve as site safety representative for assigned projects
- Function as liaison between Design Group and client when evaluating safety protocols
- Make an impact day-to-day with your skills and expertise, strengthening that relationship with our clients and team
- This role involves heavy weekly travel! Those who are unable to travel out of town on a weekly basis need not apply.
What You’ll Bring
- A minimum of seven years of experience performing onsite inspections or in a role where safety inspection was a responsibility
- Two years of experience in a safety related leadership role
- Prior experience in a project safety role involving food, beverage, consumer products, pharmaceuticals, or a related industry (highly preferred)
- Construction experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project
- A wiliness to relocate to the listed job-posting location
- A willingness to travel for project requirements including facility construction, equipment installation and start-up activities, site support, client meetings, company sponsored meetings, trainings, industry related seminars, forums, and conventions
- The ability to provide manager-level leadership and guidance
- OSHA 30-hour (Construction) training certification
- BCSP Certification (CSP, ASP, CHST, GSP, OHST) or other certification such as CSD (Certified Safety Director) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) (preferred)

The approximate pay range for this position is $100K-$125K. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position
