Position Purpose:
The Regional Replenishment Manager within the Company plays a pivotal role in optimizing inventory management and enhancing service delivery to business customers across a designated geographical area or product line. This position is responsible for setting and achieving strategic inventory goals, ensuring the timely availability of products, and evaluating inventory efficiency through rigorous data analysis and collaboration with field leadership and supplier relations. By maintaining strong partnerships with internal teams and external vendors, the role ensures alignment with the organization's broader objectives, driving operational excellence and contributing to the Company's continued growth and leadership in the distribution sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead strategic inventory control by collaborating with field leadership to establish and meet inventory goals, proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal inventory levels and turnover rates.
- Direct the inventory replenishment process by setting and reviewing purchase order parameters, coordinating inventory transfers, and preventing stock outs, while executing PO management in our ERP system to enhance inventory availability and efficiency.
- Utilize advanced analytical tools and methodologies to provide actionable insights and guidance to field leadership, focusing on enhancing inventory efficiency through the evaluation of slow-moving and obsolete items, while optimizing days-on-hand metrics.
- Collaborate with data management teams to maintain and refine SKU data integrity, ensuring accuracy in pricing, lead times, stock status, usage, and order quantities, fostering streamlined operations and decision-making.
- Drive the expediting process by reviewing key order reports and updating delivery timelines, while effectively communicating lead time changes and collaborating with pricing teams to mitigate disruptions at selling locations.
- Optimize in-bound freight logistics by enhancing vendor pre-paid program efficiencies, strategically transferring inventory, and identifying opportunities for cost reduction in freight expenses through CPU initiatives.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies in collaboration with accounts payable and vendors, troubleshooting issues and notifying sourcing teams of vendor or pricing inconsistencies to maintain financial accuracy and vendor relations.
- Foster internal and external collaborative relationships with Regional Managers, Branch Managers, and Inventory Vendors, ensuring alignment and seamless communication to support regional inventory objectives and corporate goals.
Direct Manager Direct Reports:
The Regional Replenishment Manager reports directly to the Senior Manager of Inventory. This position does not currently entail any direct reports.
In this role, the Regional Replenishment Manager will collaborate with Regional Managers and Branch Managers internally, while also interfacing with external inventory vendors to achieve optimal regional inventory outcomes.
Travel Requirements:
The Regional Replenishment Manager is required to travel 20-30% of the time, specifically for 2-3 days twice a month, to effectively collaborate with field leadership and supplier relations in alignment with inventory management objectives.
Physical Requirements:
The role of Regional Replenishment Manager at the Company entails standard office-based physical expectations with a focus on ensuring inventory efficiency and supporting field locations.
