Riot is expanding into the Trading Card Game space with Riftbound, and we are looking for a Regional Publishing Product Lead - Riftbound to lead its launch and growth in Korea.

As the Regional Publishing Product Lead - Riftbound on Korea Publishing team, you will lead the team responsible for delivering Riftbound’s publishing strategy and player experience in the Korean market. You will translate global product and publishing direction into locally relevant plans, oversee marketing and community initiatives, and develop relationships with distributors, retailers, tournament organizers, and other external partners.

You will combine strong market knowledge with people leadership and operational discipline. You will be accountable for setting priorities, developing your team, coordinating across Riot and external partners, and delivering measurable player and business outcomes for Riftbound in Korea.

You will report to Sr. Director, General Management.

Responsibilities:
  • Korea Publishing Strategy & Team Management. Develop and lead Riftbound’s Korea publishing strategy in alignment with global product and publishing objectives; Translate Korean player insights, cultural trends, and market dynamics into clear priorities and publishing plans; Oversee the execution of local marketing campaigns, community programs, competitive-play initiatives, and retail activations; Establish goals and success measures for the Korea market, and adjust plans based on performance and player feedback; Ensure local initiatives deliver a cohesive and culturally relevant Riftbound player experience; Manage, coach, and develop a team responsible for Riftbound publishing initiatives in Korea; Establish clear goals, roles, and ways of working that enable the team to operate effectively. Provide regular feedback, support career development, and foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment; Allocate team capacity and resources based on player needs, business priorities, and launch requirements; Identify capability or resourcing gaps and work with leadership to address them.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration. Serve as the primary Korea publishing partner for Riftbound’s global and regional teams; Represent Korean player, community, and partner needs in planning and decision-making forums; Partner with Riot’s global publishing, product, brand, esports, community, insights, finance, legal, and operations teams; Maintain alignment between global strategies and Korea-specific execution while advocating for necessary local adaptations; Collaborate with Korea leadership and publishing teams across the region to share insights and improve ways of working.
  • Player and Community Ecosystem. Lead the development of Riftbound’s competitive, hobby-play, and community ecosystems in Korea; Guide programs that support player acquisition, engagement, retention, and long-term community health; Build relationships with tournament organizers, retailers, hobby stores, creators, and community leaders; Establish systems for gathering and acting on Korean player and partner feedback; Partner with global teams to ensure relevant market insights inform future product and publishing decisions.
  • Business and Partnership Management. Manage Riftbound’s Korea publishing budget and ensure resources are allocated against the highest-impact priorities; Develop and oversee local partnership strategies involving distributors, retailers, media organizations, brands, and community partners; Set clear expectations and performance measures for external partners; Identify market risks, operational dependencies, and opportunities, and communicate them to relevant leaders; Partner with Insights and Finance teams to track adoption, engagement, retention, ecosystem health, and business performance.
Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in publishing, product management, marketing, or a related discipline within games, entertainment, consumer products, or another relevant industry; 
  • 2+ years of experience directly managing and developing teams.
  • Strong understanding of Korean consumer behavior, cultural trends, media channels, and gaming or entertainment audiences. Experience launching or growing products in the Korean market.
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional programs involving multiple internal teams and external partners.
  • Experience managing agencies, distributors, retailers, community organizations, or other commercial partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish priorities, manage budgets, and use performance data to guide decisions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Fluency in Korean and English, both written and spoken.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in tabletop games, trading card games, hobby entertainment, organized play, or competitive gaming; Existing relationships within Korea’s TCG, gaming, retail, creator, or hobby ecosystems.
  • Experience adapting global products, campaigns, or brands for the Korean market.
  • Experience managing teams through a product launch or period of rapid growth.
  • Familiarity with retail distribution, organized-play programs, inventory dependencies, or physical consumer products.
  • Ability to convert player and market insights into clear strategies and executable plans; Passion for tabletop and trading card games and empathy for Korean player communities.
