Position Requirements:
Licensure/Certification: Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Epic Credentialed Trainer certificates (or willingness to pursue)
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required; health care field preferred
Experience: Medical staff office experience preferred, strong relationship building skills required, and experience working with providers. Basic knowledge of provider credentialing/onboarding, medical terminology, and The Joint Commission standards preferred. Project management/coordination experience preferred.
Special Qualifications: Proficiency in Epic, Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), and ability to learn and implement emerging applications to improve workflow.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Coordinates the provider onboarding and orientation process. Serves as a point of contact for new providers and facilitates the steps and communication needed to complete the onboarding process. Ensures providers are added to all systems and access is provisioned in a timely fashion.
· Coordinates onboarding with other stakeholders, including Marketing, Human Resources, Revenue Integrity, Trinity Information Systems, Medical Staff Office, etc.
· Manages the new provider orientation process, including scheduling orientation modules with speakers/providers and facilitating completion of documentation/recordkeeping.
· Manages communication and tracking of the onboarding processes.
· Manages the off-boarding process when a provider terminates insuring that all parties have been notified and the process is followed.
· Assists with documentation and process tracking related to credentialing, privileging, and committee operations as directed. Support departmental projects, data requests, and cross-functional initiatives. Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure department efficiency.
· Able to manage high volume, multiple priorities as a routine.
· Experience with concepts of continuous quality improvement.
