We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking a Regional Planning Manager to join our team. The Regional Planning Manager will focus on regional oversight, strategic planning, leadership of planning teams, governance, standardisation, resource management, and stakeholder engagement across multiple projects. This role will involve travel across the different projects within a particular region.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning function across a portfolio of projects within the region, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and oversee bid programmes to support successful tender submissions across regional opportunities.
  • Establish, maintain, and govern master programme standards, project controls procedures, and reporting frameworks across all projects within the region.
  • Partner with Project Directors, Regional Directors, and project teams to develop and implement effective planning strategies and recovery plans where required.
  • Provide strategic planning support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from pre-construction through construction and commissioning.
  • Review and challenge project schedules, progress, risks, and resource requirements to drive successful project delivery.
  • Lead regional programme reviews and present planning, performance, and risk updates to senior leadership teams.
  • Monitor project performance across the region, identifying trends, risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure effective integration of planning, commercial, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities across multiple projects.
  • Support business development initiatives by providing planning expertise for new opportunities, client engagements, and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Represent the planning function in client, consultant, subcontractor, and key stakeholder meetings.
  • Develop and implement planning best practices, systems, tools, and reporting methodologies across the region.
  • Manage planning resources across the regional project portfolio, ensuring appropriate allocation and utilisation of planning personnel.
  • Lead, mentor, develop, and performance-manage planning teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional development.
  • Drive innovation in planning processes, digital tools, BIM integration, and project controls systems.

Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years' experience in construction planning, with significant experience managing planning functions across multiple large-scale projects.
  • Demonstrable experience in mission-critical, data centre, infrastructure, or large-scale construction environments.
  • Proven leadership experience managing and developing planning teams within a regional or multi-project environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in planning and scheduling software, including Primavera P6 and Asta Powerproject.
  • Strong understanding of project controls, resource planning, earned value management, risk analysis, and schedule governance.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering projects with values exceeding €50m.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to support strategic business objectives and project delivery performance.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal leadership teams.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-project, international construction environment.

Skills Required
