About the role:

We are searching for a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our OpenDoor team as an APAC Operations Manager. This is a full-time position based in India. This role plays a crucial part in supporting WPP's mission to deliver consistency, delivery excellence, and best-in-class service for Amazon in every country across its diverse businesses.

Responsiblities:

The APAC Operations Manager will primarily lead the delivery of operational programs and processes related to platform, commercial/financial, and people functions. This vital role will work closely with the APAC Operations Director and Global Operations Lead to ensure OpenDoor is run efficiently and effectively and is commercially compliant. This also involves establishing processes and ways of working with internal stakeholders to deliver best practice in operations management.

Areas of focus include:

Financial Operations

  • Ensure delivery of our key financial operations metrics related to media campaigns, driving improvements in financial health, controls, accuracy, and process compliance across all markets.
  • Deliver consistent adoption of global standards, controls, and SOX requirements across APAC.

Process & Continuous Improvement

  • Deliver the regional operational improvement roadmap, working with the APAC Operations Director to identify opportunities to simplify, standardise, automate, and scale operational processes.
  • Ensure operational processes remain fit for purpose and aligned to evolving business and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with regional and locale stakeholders to identify complex operational challenges requiring structural or process change.

Operational Excellence

  • Monitor operational performance measures across APAC, including financial compliance, workflow adoption, bonus performance, and operational service quality.
  • Participate in regional operational reviews, ensuring actions, risks, and opportunities are actively managed and resolved.
  • Drive accountability for adherence to agreed operational standards, policies, and ways of working.
  • Provide operational performance reporting and insights to APAC Operations Director on a regular basis and to a high degree of quality & accuracy.

Project Management

  • Participate in global transformation programs, operational initiatives, and platform deployments on behalf of APAC.
  • Coordinate cross-market delivery of operational change programs and process improvements.
  • Ensure project outcomes are effectively embedded into business-as-usual operations.

Operating Model Effectiveness

  • Implement consistent onboarding, role clarity, and operational standards across markets.
  • Build strong relationships with regional stakeholders to ensure operations remain aligned to business needs while maintaining global consistency.

Qualifications:

  • Good experience in media, business operations, financial operations, or operational roles.
  • Very strong understanding of media agency functions, delivery models, and financial processes.
  • Proven track record of delivering operational improvement, transformation, and organisational change.
  • Experience implementing governance frameworks, controls, and performance management processes.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge colleagues.
  • Excellent project and program management capabilities.
  • Outstanding communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
