Get to Know the Role

Grab is on the lookout for a Regional Operations Head for North Sumatra, responsible for overseeing our operations in Aceh, Medan, Batam, Pekanbaru, and Padang.The role you will do is leading a range of work streams including project delivery, process improvement and financial management while leading a team with a focus on safety and customer engagement. Within the team, we embrace a culture of teamwork, empowerment, creativity, diversity, humour, and diligence. You will report to the senior leadership.


The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Build a comprehensive regional strategy aimed at achieving our our goals.

 • Take ownership of the Profit and Loss (P&L) statement to ensure sustainable growth while leading analytical projects to solve issues arise.

• Gain an understanding of market dynamics to enhance business viability in a competitive environment.

 • Lead a team city managers, ensuring their priorities align with both regional and company-wide Goals.

• Conduct analyses of internal and industry data to uncover trends and evaluate potential business risks.


Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in mid-to-senior management roles in tech, FMCG, banking, or telecom.
  • Experience with markets, customers, and competitors.
  • Experience managing teams, promoting collaboration, and driving performance.
  • Experience applying data analytics to extract applicable insights, allowing informed decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Ability to speak Bahasa & English
  • Passionate about solving complex and ambiguous problems
  • Experience recruiting and mentoring talent.
  • Knowledgeable in business process management and risk assessment.
