Job Description

John Crane is seeking a Regional Engineer to join our team in Muggiò (Milan). In this role, the successful candidate will oversee the technical execution of mechanical seal and coupling engineering orders, ensuring accuracy, quality, and full compliance with customer and project requirements. The Regional Engineer will also provide cross‑functional technical support, serving as a key point of reference for all engineering‑related matters.

The Key Responsibilities are below - 

  • Support the Sales Department during the bid phase, providing technical guidance.
  • Select materials and design features that best align with seal duty requirements and project specifications.
  • Lead the design process for engineered products, working independently or in close collaboration with internal teams.
  • Handle engineering activities, including GAD approvals, release of production details, customer and supplier inquiries and technical calculations.
  • Work collaboratively to analyse and resolve customer claims and address complex or challenging applications.
  • Interact directly with customers when required, participating in technical meetings and delivering training sessions.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar technical role within an industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, mechanical seals, compressors, pumps, and hydraulic systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication abilities and proven team‑working skills.
  • High computer proficiency, including MS Office and CAD software (Solid Edge).
  • Fluency in English and Italian.
  • Willingness to travel within Italy as needed.
