The Role
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Thales has built a presence in the United Arab Emirates for over 35 years, and today has over 300 employees. Thales in the UAE is part of our Middle East business that has 1,800 people across Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, KSA, Lebanon, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar and UAE. Together we delivered technology for the Dubai metro, the longest driverless metro network in the world and a fare collection system that processes up to 250,000 transactions per day. We make UAE a safer place by providing secure electronic payment solutions, cyber security systems and communications as well as security systems for Dubai International Airport and air traffic management and navigation systems for Abu Dhabi’s airport.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

1. Lead regional insights/CMI, in contribution to global marketing and product strategy

  • Monitor regional airline trends and competitive dynamics
  • Capture Middle Eastern airlines needs through direct engagement and market analysis
  • Leverage regional digital analytics and usage data to understand passengers’ behaviors and engagement trends
  • Deliver consolidated regional insights in bi-monthly reviews with Global CMI and Product Marketing teams
  • Contribute to global segmentation, pricing, and product roadmap discussions with regional inputs
  • Identify local partnership opportunities with Product Management

​2. Lead all regional marketing activities, in support of customer success pursuits

  • Build and activate engagement plans with Customer Success for key priority target accounts/opportunities
  • Partner with Customer Success to build TVO analyses
  • Act as regional IFE product expert and primary liaison for Product Marketing
  • Adapt global marketing materials and demos for regional pursuits
  • Leverage regional market insights and data to shape regional narrative
  • Conduct product presentations and pitches at regional industry events.
  • Build senior-level relationships as needed with regional customers, partners, and potential technology providers.

Skills, Experience, Education, Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Certifications, Language

  • 10 years of experience in B2B marketing
  • English fluent
  • Strong digital acumen with good understanding of cloud technologies and SaaS models
  • Preferred: experience in the Aviation industry (airline, OEM or consulting)
  • Preferred: work experience in Middle East and Arabic language.

The position will require significant flexibility in working hours (Head Office based in Irvine, US) and frequent travels (30% of time) both regional and towards our Irvine Head Office
