The Role

Job Description:

Airbus Defence and Space (ADS) is looking for a Regional Marketing Manager to join our Space Digital Marketing department based in Singapore.

The Space Digital Programme Unit (PU) is part of the Connected Intelligence (CI) Business Unit (BU) within the Airbus Defence and Space division. It is a one-stop shop for space services, including:

  • Geospatial, i.e. Earth Observation (EO) satellite imagery and related geospatial solutions for a wide range of domains & industries (including Defence & Security, Agriculture, Maritime, etc),

  • Secure Connectivity, including End-to-End System & networks integration, ground segments development & operations, dedicated military-based and commercial- based services and equipment such as antennas & modems.

Within the Space Digital Marketing department, you will be part of the Business Support team. Its mission is to drive regional marketing activities and lead transversal projects.

As the Space Digital Regional Marketing Manager APAC, you will be in charge of maintaining a strong connection between marketing at headquarters and locally. You will act as an information hub, actively sharing contents, materials, customer feedback, analysis, etc.

Leveraging this community of contributing stakeholders, you will conduct three main missions:

  • Operational Marketing – 40%

  • Product Marketing – 30%

  • Sales & Programmes Support- 30%

This work share can evolve over time, depending on the external context and your willingness to tackle new challenges.

This role does not have signing authority to execute sales contracts.

You will be required to travel for business on occasion.

Responsibilities:

Communication & Stakeholders Management:

  • Create and nurture contact with APAC stakeholders: Customers, Local Sales, Customer Care, Resellers, etc.

  • Create and nurture contact with European stakeholders: Marketing team, support functions, etc.

Operational Marketing:

  • Lead end-to-end event management: planning, booking, purchasing, content, animation, lessons-learnt and best practices, etc.

  • Assist in preparing Marketing materials (visual identity, presentation template, roll-up, goodies creation, etc.)

  • Participate in development of Marketing campaigns to boost or promote a given activity or product.

  •  Promote our products and services at conferences, tradeshows, webinars and visits

  •  Manage ad-hoc sales campaign communication (social media, Google advertisement, newspaper, website…)

  •  Adapt headquarters marketing material to fit the current local campaigns (use-cases, analysis, campaign presentation etc.)

Product Marketing:

  • Provide regional business intelligence on the market and the competition.

  •  Push our Product and Services on the local market, along with Sales.

  •  Customise our product marketing mix to fit local needs.

  •  Support and develop our resellers network.

  •  Define and deploy the regional Marketing Roadmap.

Sales Support:

  •  Support sales campaigns through various activities, including, customers presentations & meetings, standardised documents (e.g., executive summaries), demonstration organisation, proposals preparation and/or review, etc.

  •  In cooperation with the portfolio and programme product manager, co-conduct training sessions for the local workforce (and any other relevant stakeholder) to ensure proper awareness and understanding of the new products, services or features.

  •  Provide support and/or training on how to build impactful presentations (content and format).

Other duties reasonably determined from time to time by the Company.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering or related

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Operational and/or Strategic or Product Marketing with more than 5 years of working experiences in Aviation field 

  • Good team-player with a demonstrated ability to meet goals in alignment with multiple stakeholders from different functions and regions.

  • Fluency in English

  • Any experience in the Earth Observation or Connectivity business would be a plus

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills combined with the ability to balance and align varying interests of stakeholders

  • Highly organised and rigorous, with good project management and coordination skills.

  • Creative and innovative, able to develop new ideas to develop our positioning in the region
