Overview

  • Responsible to identify and direct the business development efforts for a region for BRPH Architects and Engineers, Inc; to identify and pursue new markets and prospective clients; to maintain client contact; to maintain an effective and competitive marketing program; to coordinate the efforts of various capture managers and market segment leaders; to provide positive public relationships through activity in community organizations and professional associations. 

Job Responsibilities 

•    Contribute to the development of the Company’s strategic plan for the region.
•    Develop and execute a marketing program with short- and long-range goals.
•    Function as the communications link for all new business activity.  
•    Determine new markets to pursue in the region that are aligned with the Company’s strategic plan.
•    Identify prospective markets and clients; contact prospective client executives and determine their needs.
•    Supervise the process of putting together a proposal.
•    Conduct research of new markets and team partners.
•    Direct the marketing staff in the production of marketing reports, proposals, and informational brochures for the region.
•    Coordinate reports and other documentation for ease of retrieval.
•    Seek new markets and clients and provide positive public relationships through membership and active involvement in community organizations and professional associations for the region.
•    Create and maintain computerized client and contact databases.
•    Conduct regularly scheduled weekly marketing meetings in conjunction with the project status meeting. Provide weekly reports regarding prospective clients and marketing assignments.


Qualifications

Knowledge of:
•    Currently acceptable procedures and practices of marketing as related to the architectural, engineering, and construction professions.
•    Operational characteristics, services and activities of a professional services office.
•    Federal, state and local regulations and policies for the advertisement and selection processes for Architectural and Engineering Services contracts and Construction Services contracts.
•    Modern office procedures, methods, computer equipment, software systems, website design, electronic communications and social networking platforms.

Ability to:
•    Manage and administer a comprehensive business development program for a region of the country.
•    Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
•    Participate confidently at the executive level.
•    Organize and conduct both professional meetings and social activities for the purpose of discussing and/or presenting company services and products.
•    Work within a flexible schedule, which will include early morning, late evening, and weekend meetings and social engagements for the purpose of remaining active in organizations and associations and meeting with clients.
•    Travel out of area and out of state to attend meetings, make presentations, and otherwise represent the company in a professional capacity.
•    Interact with clients and other professionals appropriately in both professional and social settings.
•    Present a professional appearance in both person and products.
•    Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree, in marketing or business administration, engineering or architecture from an accredited four-year college or university
  • Minimum of ten years’ experience
