Job Title: 

Regional Manager (x16)

Job Purpose

Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Company’s operations within the assigned Region. Ensure alignment between corporate strategy and District execution by coordinating operations, strengthening accountability, and maintaining high service standards. Drive regional business growth while fostering a culture of discipline, accountability, and service excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Regional Strategy & Performance Leadership

  • Implement operational strategy across Districts.
  • Translate corporate objectives into actionable regional priorities.
  • Drive service excellence, efficiency, and revenue growth.
  • Monitor District performance and apply corrective measures.
  • Identify opportunities for expansion and improved service coverage.

2. Regional Leadership & Coordination

  • Provide overall leadership for District operations.
  • Align District operations with Head Office policies.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on results.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between Districts and Head Office.

3. District Performance & Accountability

  • Establish KPIs for service delivery, efficiency, and revenue.
  • Hold District leaders accountable for targets and standards.
  • Conduct regular reviews and provide operational guidance.
  • Monitor compliance with contracts and company policies.

4. Business Development & Client Management

  • Lead client engagement and strengthen partnerships.
  • Identify market opportunities and develop proposals.
  • Support business expansion initiatives.
  • Enhance visibility and reputation through proactive engagement.

5. Monitoring, Evaluation & Operational Excellence

  • Conduct operational reviews and field visits.
  • Ensure compliance with SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) policies.
  • Monitor resource utilization and drive continuous improvement.

6. Stakeholder Engagement & Representation

  • Build relationships with EPA, MMDAs, DCEs, and other partners.
  • Represent the Company in regional engagements.
  • Promote stakeholder support for sanitation programmes.
  • Facilitate community and business group engagement.

7. Financial Oversight

  • Oversee District financial performance.
  • Monitor budgets and expenditures for compliance.
  • Approve claims, invoices, and payments.
  • Coordinate audits and resolve findings.

8. Information Management & Reporting

  • Establish monitoring and reporting systems.
  • Consolidate District reports into regional submissions.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual performance reports.
  • Track legislative developments and sector trends.

9. People Leadership & Capability Development

  • Provide coaching and oversight to District teams.
  • Promote accountability and performance culture.
  • Conduct evaluations and recommend training.
  • Address capability gaps through development initiatives.

COMPETENCIES

Education & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering Management, Environmental Management, or MBA.
  • Membership in a recognized professional body.
  • 10 years in large-scale operations/service delivery.
  • Minimum 5 years in senior/executive management.
  • Advantage: Experience with government contracts and regulated environments.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Expertise in sanitation and waste management practices.
  • Experience in vector/mosquito control operations.
  • Operational risk awareness and mitigation skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and coordination skills.
  • Communication, presentation, and interpersonal excellence.
  • Analytical and decision-making capability.
  • Project management and administrative coordination.
  • Proven leadership in team management, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and relevant software.
