We are seeking a dynamic and business driven Regional Manager – Technology Vertical to lead the growth and development of our Technology industry segment across the Asia Pacific region. This role is responsible for driving industry-specific solutions, enabling business growth, supporting sales teams and strengthening customer relationships within key technology sectors, including semiconductors, data centers and AI-related supply chains.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with regional leadership, products leadership and other stakeholders’ and global vertical leaders to develop innovative logistics solutions that address evolving industry needs while delivering exceptional value to customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Solutions and Processes
- Collaborate across the organization to build regional programs and solutions which address the unique needs of a specific vertical industry
- Conduct Regular Trainings & Updates for internal team members and stake holders industry trends and industry specific service requirements
- Support the global vertical leaders in identifying industry trends, development of educational and training material, and development of unique solutions of the Vertical.
- Support the development, implementation and launch of new or tailored services for customers.
- Act as the lead in planning, solution design, product development and market strategies.
- Collaborate across functions to secure new business opportunities and drive successful customers onboarding.
- Build best practices and operational standards that support vertical growth.
- Training and Branch Support
- Develop and deliver industry-specific training programs for sales, account management and operations teams.
- Provide guidance on technology industry requirements, trends and customer expectations.
- Publish regular industry updates as appropriate.
- Business Development
- Engage directly with customers on strategic opportunities and sponsor specific strategic customers if required.
- Support sales teams in identifying, developing and closing new businesses.
- Collaborate with local, regional and global sales leadership to define target accounts and drive growth strategies.
- Participate in customer meetings, internal reviews, and conference calls to align performance, priorities and sales focus areas.
- Support RFIs, RFQs and complex bids by providing industry expertise and solution guidance.
- Conduct regular reviews with sales and account teams to advance priority opportunities and key customer accounts.
Measurement of Success
- Growth and profitability of the Technology Vertical within the region as defined by Tactical Business Plans (TBP)
- Contribution to new business development, customer acquisition and engagement and revenue growth initiatives.
- Development, implementation and successful adoption of industry-specific solutions and services
- Deliver effective training programs to enhance team capabilities and industry expertise
- Provide timely and effective communication to the regional or the entire organization if necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with at least 8 years of sales, business development, or technology industry experience. Equivalent combinations of education, industry knowledge, and professional experience will be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
- Deep expertise and comprehensive knowledge of global and Asia Pacific trends across the Semiconductor, Data Center, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) sectors. Cross-industry knowledge spanning all three segments is highly desirable.
- Proven mastery of the end-to-end physical supply chain within these industries,
- A vision for setting the standard for excellence in global logistics within these industry segments.
- Solid experience in developing ‘boots on the ground’ operations for industry-relevant customers
- Demonstrated success in developing, implementing, and scaling customer-centric and industry-focused solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.
- Extensive experience in building and operationalizing “boots-on-the-ground” capabilities, ensuring effective local execution and operational support for customers within these industry sectors.
