The Marlin Regional Manager provides strategic leadership and oversight for multiple operational areas, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution of Marlin Gas Services operations. This role is responsible for directing and supporting the Operations Manager, establishing operational objectives, driving performance, overseeing financial and workforce planning, and ensuring alignment with company goals. The Regional Manager serves as a key liaison between field operations, peer regional leaders, business development, engineering, safety, finance, human resources, and executive leadership while promoting a culture of safety, accountability, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction across the region.

What you'll be working on:

  • Provide leadership and direction to Operations Managers and regional field leadership teams to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant execution of Marlin Gas Services operations.
  • Oversee regional operational performance by establishing objectives, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and implementing corrective actions to achieve business goals related to safety, customer service, productivity, and financial results.
  • Drive a culture of safety and regulatory compliance by ensuring adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including DOT, PHMSA, OSHA, and company policies and procedures.
  • Partner with Operations Managers to optimize workforce planning, resource allocation, fleet utilization, and operational readiness to support customer commitments and business growth.
  • Develop and manage regional operating budgets, including labor, equipment, fleet, maintenance, travel, and capital expenditures, while ensuring fiscal responsibility and achievement of financial targets. Hold assigned operations leaders accountable for local budget execution, cost control, and performance improvement plans.
  • Partner with commercial, engineering, logistics, and operations teams to identify, assess, and execute regional growth opportunities, new customer launches, emergency response activities, acquisition integration work, and special projects.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and talent development for Operations Managers and regional leaders, including succession planning, employee engagement, performance management, and leadership development initiatives. Build manager-level bench strength and ensure leadership coverage across assigned operations.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts focused on process optimization, operational efficiency, cost control, customer experience, and overall service quality.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for significant operational issues, customer concerns, emergencies, and regulatory matters affecting the region. Resolve conflicts among operating areas and coordinate cross-functional response where necessary.
  • Evaluate and recommend investments in personnel, equipment, technology, and infrastructure necessary to support operational excellence and long-term growth objectives.
  • Provide regular reporting and strategic recommendations to executive leadership regarding operational performance, business risks, growth opportunities, workforce trends, and resource requirements.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of company policies and operational standards across all assigned locations to drive accountability, standardization, and performance consistency. Maintain effective partnerships across operational, engineering, commercial, safety, regulatory, finance, HR, and support functions to optimize regional performance and execute strategic initiatives.
  • Perform any additional related tasks as required by management.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in operations, transportation, utilities, energy services, logistics, industrial services, or related industries.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing supervisors, managers, and multi-site operations.
  • Experience managing operational budgets, workforce planning, and performance metrics.
  • Experience leading regulatory compliance programs and safety initiatives.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • PHMSA Operator Qualification knowledge preferred.
  • DOT/FMCSA regulatory knowledge required.
