General Description: Reporting to the National Director, Hematology, the Regional Manager (RM), Hematology will contribute to BeiGene’s overall performance objective by partnering with clinicians and other stakeholders to help improve the health and well-being of cancer patients. With a primary goal of helping health care practitioners (HCP) determine the best care option for their patients, efforts focus on supporting and developing trusted partnerships internally and externally to facilitate the appropriate use of Brukinsa® (zanubrutinib). The RM will provide physicians, pharmacists and healthcare professionals with products, services, and value-add information that will enable them to use and prescribe BeiGene’s portfolio of products safely and effectively. The RM will be accountable for achieving regional business goals. The ideal candidate will have a patient-centric approach and capable of increasing engagement with our stakeholders and customers through various innovative channels including digital to meet the desired experience and needs. This role is to be located in and cover Ontario.Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strong regional plans with cross-functional support. The objective is to build customized regional stakeholder engagement plans that drive best-in-class service, engagements and impact.
- Using expertise in heme-oncology be a go-to scientific and patient care resource for stakeholders in assigned region.
- Collaborate with health system partners, health care practitioners (HCP), patients, regional patient advocacy groups, and relevant stakeholder groups in assigned region to support best-in-class oncology care and education with the patient always at the center.
- Lead as a content expert in the heme-oncology marketplace to work with clinicians. Establish superior working relationships with key opinion leaders in assigned region.
- Train and educate HCP’s on the proper use and handling of BeiGene’s heme-oncology products through various channels including strong focus on digital capabilities.
- Promote BeiGene’s heme-oncology products through value-add interactions on targeted HCPs in assigned region to implement sales, marketing, and patient support programs to get and keep indicated patients on BeiGene products as appropriate. Responsible for achieving related regional business and sales goals.
- Embracing innovative and transformational ways of doing things to accomplish things that others thought were impossible.
- Performs all administrative functions required of the position, including reporting call activity and customer information into the appropriate call reporting system in a timely manner, submitting expenses, product knowledge coursework, etc.
- Consistently ensure operating in accordance with BeiGene´s Standards of conduct and all applicable local laws and regulations.
Education Required:
- Undergraduate or professional degree
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate should have 7 plus years’ experience in pharmaceutical sales.
- Experience in hematology or oncology required and specific knowledge in malignant hematology market preferred.
- Strong science acumen through maintaining up-to-date expertise in hematology through regular attendance at medical conferences, training session and personal reading.
- Passionate about staying abreast scientific advances in the therapeutic area.
- Ability to analyze data and communicate it clearly and concisely to HCP’s.
- Highly skilled at collaborating with cross-functional teams, including interfacing with key internal and external stakeholders and with scientific, medical, and commercial teams.
- Dedicated to making customer experience a priority and passionate about the patient journey with a patient centric approach.
- Must be results oriented and strategic. Highly motivated, solution- oriented and a positive attitude.
- Launch experience.
- Ability to measure and analyze key performance indicators (ROI and KPIs).
- Familiarity with CRM software and proven track record of use.
- Demonstrated success in a small but fast growing, entrepreneurial commercial environment.
- Makes things happen; has the right level of implementation skills, shows persistent innovation and willingness to challenge status quo.
- Superior teamwork skills through open, authentic communication and respect for individual differences.
- Language fluency (English/French) appropriate to assigned region required.
Computer Skills:
- PC, iPad and highly skilled in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Other Qualifications:
- Expertise in conducting conversations with members of the customer base when stakes are high, and opinions vary.
Travel:
- Must be willing to travel over a relatively large geography which will include daily and overnight travel.
