TITLE: Regional Operations Manager 

DEPARMENT: Operations  

LOCATION: Assigned Region (Varies) 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSABILITY Theaters 

REPORTS TO: Sr. Director of Operations 

 

JOB SUMMARY 

Manages all aspects of Sales and Operations in all locations within the region by maximizing sales, ensuring customer satisfaction, managing profit and loss, controlling expenses, and executing all policies and procedures in partnership with Human Resources. 

This position would require frequent travel to oversee our locations in Pico Rivera, Inglewood, Westlake, Pacific Palisades, and San Mateo, CA.

 

JOB DUTIES 

  • Establish accountability direction and communication to General Managers and holds location Managers accountable for execution at location level. Supervises team of General Managers for the region 

  • Spends 80% of the time in theaters to monitor performance, provide feedback, and recognize exceptional performance  

  • Holds regular meetings and conference calls to communicate Company directives and reinforce policies and procedures  

  • Completes location inspections as needed and provides feedback to General Managers 

  • Ensures attainment of budgeted sales results and controls expenses to budget 

  • Provides leadership to General Managers to drive sales and maximize margin  

  • Monitors locations’ controllable expenses to budget and takes corrective action as necessary  

  • Protects Company assets including attaining budgeted shrink results and monitoring store compliance with policies and procedures  

  • Manages Human Resources issues to ensure retention, training and development, and hiring standards for all Employees  

  • Ensures General Managers supports corporate training programs, and that Employees complete all Company directed training  

  • Monitors Employee Engagement and reacts appropriately  

  • Approves promotions, terminations and disciplinary action as needed 

  • Guides and assists the development of the management team through the General Manager.  

  • Assists GM with mid-year and year end performance reviews for Management team.  

  • Help build positional training guides. 

  • Help build “Manager In Training” guides and certifications. 

  • Help build rollout materials for both venue operations and HQ. 

  • Travel to help with company-wide initiatives/rollouts as needed. 

  • Work with our Head of Training on building a world class training system that is both effective and efficient.  

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE 

  • 5 years + of prior multi-unit operations management experience working in full-service restaurant or entertainment industry 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant field; or equivalent experience 

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite 

  • Proven track record of operation excellence
