Labcorp is seeking a Regional Manager, Business Development to lead and develop a high-performing team of 9 - 10 diagnostic sales professionals, including Key Account Executives and Territory Managers, across Southeast Florida.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a people-focused sales leader who is passionate about developing talent, coaching high-performing teams, and driving a culture of accountability, engagement, and growth. Leading a team of 9 - 10 Key Account Executives and Territory Managers, this leader will inspire performance, build future talent, and drive both new business acquisition and strategic account expansion. Working with the Area Director of Sales and Vice President/General Manager (VP/GM) to implement and drive strategic initiatives and launch new products.
The ideal candidate combines a strong hunter mentality with strategic account management expertise, empowering their team to win new business, deepen customer relationships, increase market share, and deliver exceptional customer experiences across physician practices, specialty providers, health systems, and healthcare organizations. Success in this role requires a proven ability to develop people, accelerate growth, and achieve results through both market expansion and long-term customer partnerships.

Job Responsibilities
People Leadership & Talent Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 9 field-based diagnostic sales professionals, including Key Account Executives and Territory Managers.
- Foster a high-performance culture centered on accountability, customer focus, collaboration, continuous learning, and results.
- Conduct ongoing field coaching, ride-alongs, sales strategy sessions, and development planning to maximize individual and team performance.
- Recruit, onboard, mentor, and retain top commercial talent while building a strong internal leadership pipeline.
- Create individualized development plans and provide meaningful feedback to help team members achieve their full potential and advance their careers.
- Champion employee engagement, recognition, and succession planning initiatives that support both individual and organizational success.
Business Development & Market Growth
- Drive regional revenue growth through a disciplined focus on prospecting, new business acquisition, and market expansion.
- Lead the team in identifying, developing, and closing new opportunities across physician groups, specialty practices, hospitals, health systems, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), and community health centers.
- Develop and execute regional growth strategies that increase market penetration and expand Labcorp's clinical and specialty testing footprint.
- Foster a hunter mentality throughout the organization by establishing strong pipeline management, new account targeting, opportunity qualification, and proactive business development practices.
- Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to develop targeted sales strategies and growth initiatives.
Strategic Account Management
- Partner with Key Account Executives and Territory Managers to strengthen existing customer relationships and identify opportunities for additional growth.
- Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with healthcare executives, physician leaders, and key decision-makers.
- Support customer retention efforts while expanding service utilization, market share, and long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, and commercial leadership teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences and solutions.
- Ensure strategic account plans are developed and executed to maximize customer value and long-term business growth.
Strategy & Leadership
- Analyze regional performance, customer trends, competitive intelligence, and market dynamics to identify growth opportunities.
- Implement strategic initiatives, product launches, and targeting plans that align with organizational growth objectives.
- Serve as a key liaison between the sales organization and laboratory operations leadership to ensure strong communication, execution, and customer satisfaction.
- Utilize data-driven insights to guide decision-making, optimize sales effectiveness, and improve regional performance.
- Partner closely with the Area Director of Sales and the VP/GM to execute commercial strategies and support organizational priorities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's Degree
- 2+ years of people leadership experience leading sales, business development, account management, or customer-facing teams achieving or exceeding revenue, growth, customer retention, and performance objectives.
- 4+ years of healthcare, diagnostics, laboratory, pharmaceutical, medical device, life sciences, or related healthcare sales experience.
- 2+ years of experience utilizing CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) for pipeline management, opportunity tracking, forecasting, territory planning, account management, and sales performance reporting.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth, improving sales performance, and achieving business objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience coaching, mentoring, developing, and retaining high-performing geographically dispersed field-based commercial sales teams including performance management, succession planning, and talent development.
- 5+ years of high-performance sales experience in healthcare, diagnostics, laboratory, medical device, pharmaceutical, or life sciences organizations, with demonstrated success in driving market share growth, winning new business, expanding strategic accounts, and building lasting customer partnerships
- 3+ years of experience selling into health systems, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), accountable care organizations (ACOs), FQHCs, value-based care environments, or large physician group practices. Building and managing executive-level relationships with healthcare administrators, physicians, health system leaders, IDN stakeholders, and C-suite decision-makers.
- 3+ years of demonstrated success developing high-performing sales cultures focused on prospecting, pipeline generation, customer retention, market share growth, sales execution, and commercial excellence. Developing and executing regional business plans that consistently achieve or exceed revenue, growth, retention, and market share objectives.
- 3+ years of experience successfully navigating and influencing within a matrixed commercial environment, partnering across sales, operations, marketing, customer service, and executive leadership teams. Leveraging CRM platforms to drive sales strategy, pipeline development, forecasting accuracy, territory optimization, business planning, and commercial performance management.
