SUMMARY: The Regional Logistics Manager provides leadership, management, and will oversee service providers for logistics operations related to inbound/outbound transportation, distribution, and/or post sales returns. This role focuses on achieving targets while demonstrating personal initiative with a focus on driving superior customer service and process efficiency. 


ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Personally exhibits, recruits and coaches associate consistent with Core Behaviors
  • Responsible for promoting culture of safety
  • Responsible for oversight of Distribution Center and regional locations
  • Identify areas for process improvement and innovation; Investigate problems, find root causes, and develop solutions. 
  • Prioritize and multi-task effectively to provide strategic and tactical support for projects, including capital planning. 
  • Monitor key performance indicators, drive performance, and expense management. 
  • Evaluate existing capabilities and establish new systems and processes for tracking, measurement, reporting, and analysis of Logistics Ops. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders as a representative of logistics, and provide updates to leadership: inventory, distribution, freight, cycle time, etc.
  • Perform all work in accordance to ISO processes and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Competent with the use of computer software specific to the operation
  • Proven ability to lead continuous improvement projects and strong track record of customer service
  • Systems should be literate in one or more Warehouse Management Systems, as well as possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in dynamic, cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment while demonstrating strong work ethics and a high degree of flexibility
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement and act on it

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct and indirect supervisory responsibility. 


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Operations, Business, or related field preferred. 
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position in industrial distribution preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Employee is regularly required to speak and understand English, stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms. Employees are required to use computers and other equipment.
  • Employees frequently lift and/or move up to _70_ pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to clearly focus vision.


PPE REQUIRED: 

  • Eye protection, ear protection, and as required by customers, steel-toed shoes and head protection.
