Responsibilities
- Design, manage, and support various professional development and new hire onboarding programs as assigned, ranging from beginning to intermediate complexity, utilizing project management skills and instructional design methodology.
- Create and improve associated performance support tools (e.g., eLearning content, video walk-throughs, job aids, etc.).
- Build and maintain relationships by partnering with internal customers and key stakeholders to ensure assigned learning programs and solutions are aligned with current business needs.
- Maintain and regularly reevaluate the L&D intranet page, market learning sessions, and maintain L&D department communication on internal platforms.
- Facilitate in-person and virtual learning sessions as assigned, and coach Subject Matter Experts on technology and facilitation skills as needed.
- Support and manage L&D-related systems (LMS, Training Helpdesk, survey platforms, etc.) as assigned.
- Provide support for company-sponsored events and other projects as assigned.
- Stay informed on instructional design and adult learning theory best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience in learning & development or property management operations.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of general work experience.
- Minimum of 4 years in a learning & development, instructional design, or human resources focused role. Property management or parallel industry role experience will be considered.
- Ability to respond to changes with an open mind and use sound judgment to manage priorities.
- Ability to design engaging PowerPoint slides, marketing materials, and social media content and experience using graphic design software such as Canva, Adobe Illustrator, or similar tools.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Basic skills using instructional design technology and learning management systems.
- Outstanding verbal and written skills.
- Superb attention to detail.
- Travel within California 10% to 15% annually.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing or managing corporate new hire orientation and onboarding programs.
- Hands-on experience in property management facilities, operations, or maintenance fields.
- Experience with Rise 360, Articulate, Camtasia/Captivate or similar instructional design software.
- NAHP – CPL, SHCM, CAM (MA - C3P) CAM – RAM & ARM honored; CGPM – NAA or NAMA certifications.
