As we launch Activate in Australia, we're looking for a Melbourne based Regional Leader to lead the successful opening of our first store and help shape and accelerate our future expansion journey.

Position Overview
Enter The Role
This isn’t a typical operations role, because Activate isn’t a typical venue.
As Regional Leader, you’ll play a critical role in launching and growing Activate in Australia. You’ll be the operational leader in our Australian market, responsible for establishing the standards, routines and practices that will support our venues as we grow.
Based in Melbourne, you’ll lead our first venue while supporting and coaching Store Leaders as we expand and launch new locations across Australia. You’ll build strong teams, create consistent operational practices and ensure every venue delivers the Activate experience our guests expect.
This is a hands on leadership role. In the early stages of our Australian growth, you’ll be close to the operation, working alongside venue leaders and teams, problem solving on the go, building relationships and helping shape how Activate operates locally.
Responsibilities / Accountabilities
Launch and Grow Activate Australia
- Lead the launch and growth of Activate Australia, ensuring successful venue openings and sustainable expansion.
- Establish operational standards, processes, and best practices.
- Build capability to deliver exceptional customer experiences, team engagement, and compliance.
- Drive operational improvements, workforce optimisation, and expansion readiness.
- Develop strong partnerships with key stakeholders, including landlords, suppliers, and contractors.
Lead Exceptional Venue Operations
- Oversee regional operational performance and guest experience.
- Support the Melbourne venue launch and build capability for future growth.
- Partner with and coach Store Leaders to drive performance and uphold standards.
- Use data and insights to improve customer and employee experiences.
- Maintain venue standards across safety, facilities, maintenance, inventory, and presentation.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, coach, and develop high-performing Store Leaders and future talent.
- Drive accountability, capability, and performance across multiple venues.
- Support onboarding, development, performance management, and engagement.
- Foster an inclusive, high-performance culture.
- Lead training in operations, safety, brand standards, and venue excellence.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure WHS compliance and safety standards across Australian venues.
- Oversee incident reporting, investigations, hazard management, and safety training.
Connect Australia with the Global Team
- Act as the operational link between Australian venues and North American teams.
- Translate global priorities into effective local execution.
- Share market insights and learnings to drive continuous improvement and growth.
