Job Purpose:
The Regional Lab Junior Scientist provides support to our internal customers. She/He is the interface with our external laboratory network to ensure lab results integration and follow up of requests. This job is also part of the regional laboratory auditor team, responsible of ensuring reliability of our laboratory network.
Key Responsibilities
Customer support
- First level support for Users on processes and related systems, including MyHub ticketing tool
- Partner with our customers to effectively resolve issues through customer portal, phone, email or teams
- Distribute technical requests to Subject Matter Expert in the region
- Communicate thoughtful, customized solutions that help the business make critical decisions in a timely manner
- Engage, develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and external laboratories.
- Interacting with the laboratory network to get access to any relevant information
- Coordinate the collection of chemical reference results for the NIR Verification Program. This included timely checking data validity and escalate any non-conformity to the Rapid Spectroscopy team
Systems
- Responsible for sending out communications about laboratory activities
- Management of orders and invoices with subcontracting laboratories
- Ensure Customs clearance of parcels if needed
- Ensure integration of lab results into LIMs if needed
- Support customers for sample registration
- Train customers to customer portal system, as well LIMS
Audit
- Conduct technical and/or Quality laboratory audit into the regional network
Job Specifications
BSc or MSc in Analytical Physical/chemistry or related scientific discipline
Desired: Qualification in laboratory audit
Essential: 3 years of work experience in a chemistry lab
Essential: Good communication skills, both written and spoken English
Essential: Customer focus and understanding quality and food safety aspects
Desired: Excellent communication skills
Desired: Good knowledge of ISO17025
Desired: IT System back end experience, such as ticketing tool
Skills Required
