Role Summary
In partnership with management, responsible for developing and executing the business development, relationship management and sales strategy for T. Rowe Price across the Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) and Regional Bank channels within an assigned geographical territory. This includes promoting the distribution of TRPIS/TRPA investment management strategies across multiple vehicles (ETFs, SMAs, mutual funds, and private markets) through RIAs and regional banks (Bank Trust). The role is primarily client-facing, requiring external meetings and participation in industry events to build T. Rowe Price awareness and increase market share.
Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management & Consulting:
Directly manage sales, revenue generation, and relationships for large, complex accounts within the RIA and Regional Bank channels.
Serve as a consultant to clients, providing tailored recommendations on T. Rowe Price strategies, solutions and capabilities to address client needs and drive account growth.
Build trusted advisor relationships and influence firms to adopt customized solutions.
Maintain deep knowledge of assigned clients, their sensitivities, and business needs to effectively guide decision-making.
Drive Sales and Strategic Growth:
Promote the distribution of T. Rowe Price investment management strategies (TRPIS/TRPA) across multiple solutions and vehicles through RIAs and regional banks, primarily via in-person client meetings and industry events.
Achieve territory sales goals and key performance aligned with T. Rowe Price’s strategic objectives.
Develop and execute an annual territory business plan; monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed.
Industry Awareness & Data Utilization:
Proactively research industry trends, competitor offerings, and clients’ business environments to inform sales strategies.
Analyze and leverage industry data and market trends in partnership with business leaders to identify sales gaps and improve performance.
Service Excellence & Resource Alignment:
Ensure high client satisfaction through timely responses, efficient problem resolution, contract and operational compliance, and risk mitigation.
Align T. Rowe Price resources, including senior management, investment professionals, product capacity, marketing materials, due diligence, meeting support, administrative support, client reporting, and marketing allowances—to deliver world-class service and build customer loyalty.
Compliance & Best Practices:
Ensure full compliance with T. Rowe Price sales policies and programs.
Stay current on industry best practices to continually improve sales and relationship management processes.
Corporate Leadership & Teaming:
Coordinate sales opportunities for assigned clients across T. Rowe Price business units as necessary, ensuring a seamless client experience.
Collaborate across cross-segment teams and business units throughout T. Rowe Price to drive integrated client solutions, share best practices, and support firm-wide initiatives.
Coach and mentor Internal Sales Consultants to enhance team performance and professional growth.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of related work experience
FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses
Superior communication and presentation skills
Advanced investment and capital markets knowledge
Advanced relationship management and sales skills
High degree of emotional intelligence to establish credibility and rapport with senior leaders internally and across the industry
Advanced knowledge of T. Rowe Price mutual funds, ETFs, and separately managed account vehicles
Demonstrated ability to establish and execute a disciplined, repeatable process for uncovering and closing new business opportunities through consultative selling skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with effective use of data and analytical tools
High energy and goal-oriented approach to sales activities
Collaborative and team-oriented work style
Ability to act as an ambassador for T. Rowe Price
Willingness to travel extensively
Preferred:
External sales or client management experience in the financial services industry
Experience in the RIA and Regional Bank (Bank Trust) channels, with an established network and relationships in territory
Working knowledge of alternative products and platforms
Professional designations such as CFA, CIMA, CAIA, CFP, or MBA
FINRA Requirements
FINRA licenses are required and will be supported for this role.

This role is eligible for full-time remote work.

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
